Even though I didn't like lori, I loved the scene between her and Carl, but the Emmy performance by Andrew Lincoln nearly put me to tears! Including Carl man, I love that they put that flashback between him and Rick, came full circle of having to put down his own mother! Fun fact: When Rick broke down the actress who played Lori consoled him saying "I'm here"! Even though it was acting I'm glad she still did that.

The acting in this episode is absolutely insane! T-Dog was a soldier until the very end, and the emotion and chaos as Lori went into labour were heartbreaking. Lori accepted her fate and made the ultimate sacrifice to save her baby. And Rick Grimes' raw emotional reaction... Andrew Lincoln absolutely nailed that scene. You could genuinely feel Rick's pain, shock, and heartbreak. Incredible acting.

Rip Lori her last moment with Coral was beautiful and heartbreaking. Great performance by Sarah Wayne Callies. And what a gut-wrenching performance by Andrew Lincoln. You see and feel Rick's pain and grief over losing Lori as well as the horror of what Coral had to do. So sad because they were just starting to reconcile. Loved the flashback to "no more kid stuff" which helped give Carl the strength to do it. Such a traumatic experience for everyone.

I honestly don't know how some of these actors did not get any awards. Such amazing acting. The Lori and Carl scene is very emotional. I remember watching this years ago and it wasn't as emotional maybe cause I was young so just like cannon said I think as you get older things are different so that scene was really emotional now. norman reedus auditioned for merle (who yeah, was already planned as a show original character) but they liked him so much they then made anotherrr with daryl 🙂‍↕️ which its weird to think of what merles plotline wouldve been without daryl around too, seeing as how that definitely added a lot to his character and story as well - and yeah, also def biased since i was watching the show before starting the comics, but i def did favor the shows storylines for a lot of things

Say what you want about Lori but she did go out heroically. So did T-Dog. The performances from Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), and T-Dog (Irone Singleton) were amazing. Lori saying “Goodnight, love” as a final goodbye to Rick broke my heart too. A very well-done episode.

@pudding unfortunately i do think a lot of it is just plot convenience too 😭 like in this episode - even tho they were far apart, everyone is looking across the way at each other, and yet in one shot to the next suddenly so many walkers have snuck up behind them without notice...i think theres kinda just some things u hafta suspend ur disbelief on lk 😭 ive always enjoyed zombie apocalypse media and a lot of twd is rly great, but it has some of the most inconsistent zombies imo

My son was a baby when this aired and it was soooo emotional for me. And now he’s a teenager and it’s still such a hard watch. What an insane and heartbreaking situation for everyone. Despite all of her "bad choices" she wasn't a bad person. She cared for everyone very deeply yet so much of the fandom hates her more than the governor and a later villain that I will not name for spoiler purposes. Her writing is also complex and nuanced which I really like. I just overall love her character

They both had someone they loved and cared about come out of that barn at the farm, which was traumatizing and they both have been worried about Hershel and his health Carl, especially because he was saved because of him and Maggie brought Lori and the rest of the group to the farm when Carl was hurt. Now they have been forged into something stronger through one of the deepest possible traumas in the world

i got so teary watching this episode again with you guys, was really struggling to hold it together. then the end scene with rick finding out about lori happened and i was struggling to hold it together for another reason—someone on tiktok made a parody version of that scene and my best friend sent it to me after i watched this episode for the first time and call me psychotic but it was SO FUNNY that i can't ever look at that ending the same way again. it might be too soon for you guys and you might not find it funny (mckay would because he's a psycho) but watch it if you need comedic relief and can handle it!
