Fun fact: The subtitles actually censored Szayelapporo's release name lol. If you listen to the japanese audio, he says "Fornicaras"= "You will Fornicate" lmao. The official english translation of the manga, the official dub, as well as 90% of subtitles for the japanese audio censor it to "La Lujuriosa."

Stuff like this is why I'm so glad battle shonen moved on to being seasonal so they didn't have to stretch scenes and ruin the pacing. Because when you think about it the actual content isn't bad at all the slowness just makes it feel like a slog to get through.

The Menos Grande evolution is convoluted. A short answer: That evolution line stops when a hollow rips off their mask and becomes an arrancar. In the last batch, Shawlong stated that Menos Grande can no longer continue to evolve once they lose a piece of their bodies. Well, ripping your mask off is indeed losing a part of their body. They sacrifice their evolution in order to gain soul reaper powers. We don't get a definitive answer on how an adjuchas becomes a vasto lorde, but we know they are an extremely small number. So it would be better for an adjuchas to give up on evolving and instead gain more power by becoming arrancars (especially when Aizen can make that process more successful by using the hogyoku). So Grimmjow had already given up on becoming a vasto lorde when he ripped his mask off to become an arrancar.

But it's a good kind of goofy. It's not cringe or annoying goofy. It's closer to JoJo, csm, dandadan I guess. It's kinda hard to find a good comparison tbh, because it's very different. As an ex-anime hater, I also usually don't like Japanese humor or those kinds of tropes, but Gintama made it work. It's so creative and different, and it is also so much more than just a comedy anime. It has a narrative and depth, and some of the best peaks, characters and arcs I have ever seen. I mean, just check IMDb, its kinda crazy. Anyway, just wanted to quickly give my thoughts since I saw a lot of doubters in the comments, and people also said before that they would hate MHA, One Piece, JoJo, etc btw. We don't know until they watch it. Maybe they won't like it, or maybe they will love it.

I honestly think the lows on Bleach are much lower than Naruto and One Piece, but the highs are much higher. There are so many rough batches of episodes coming, but so many batches of peak.

What makes the "comic relief" so terrible isn't the comic relief itself, it's that it's completely out of place in the context of what's happening. It would be like the middle of a heavy scene in Game of Thrones, and then a clown shows up and starts making balloon animals. Like, we're in the middle of a fight against one of the strongest enemies in Hueco Mundo so let's have a 10 minute comic relief while the enemy just stands there in the background idle. I forgot how bad these episodes were. And unfortunately there's some similar types of invasive comic relief in the next arc. But.......... the rest of this arc is why my memories of it are up there with the Soul Society arc.

I looked up how to reshare a patreon post on youtube and there is supposedly third button next to like/comment that I am not seeing. Perhaps you need to be a patreon creator or something like that.

I’d say the opposite. Probably a lil biased cause I watch Naruto one piece first and this is my first bleach watch. But the highs here aren’t like bad but the highs on Bleach so far are the fights that we’ve been waiting for. With Naruto or One Piece it was like story/lore reveal is its most anticipated highs. Fights are great too but when the story just gives so much juice with world building and characters it makes the fights hit even harder.

What canon says at end is so true! I can particularly relate it to one piece. When rewatching shows it’s so much easier to appreciate the comedic relief because you know what’s happening next. Even with carters rewatch of one piece I’m sure part of the reason he enjoys the rewatch so much more is because he can appreciate the comedy more. it’s so annoying to be redirected to something so unserious when your waiting for the climax or just continuation of the story. Lastly, just from my own experience I think a lesson learned is to be more understanding and considerate when watching reaction channels. Looking back on my first watch of shows e.g OP I would be even go so far as to skip the bs in between. Having gone back and seen everything now I can really laugh and enjoy the stupid moments that would take up screen time to my weekly dose of one piece.

Its confirmed Cannon wants to shrink Jack down to a ball so he can eat him lol. Also, Jack they changed the trasnlation from the manga to something else to censor it. The of translation was " you will fornicate" and they changed it to what you read which is "the lustful one" which is why when he's releasing his power he is moaning to signify the name of his release. The pacing was bad in this cause the show always caught up to the manga so quickly so they made the bullshit episodes to spread it away from the manga.

Okay so I just tested the reshare button as a quote and it lets you do it multiple times and increases the counter for it. So idk if that should be used as competition as it would just devolve into the comment fiasco of that one Gek News post where the vast majority of the comments were nonsense. Just my two cents 🤷🏻‍♂️
