Berserk does romance really well. Its obviously dark, but really good. It’s kind of like Dante‘s divine comedy where it’s really dark, but the foundation of the story is romance.

There are lots of romance anime where the primary focus of the plot isn’t the romance or the couple. A great example of this is THE APOTHECARY DIARIES!!!! Y’all just need to give the genre a chance. Now, there’s also many shows where the romance is very prevalent in the plot and the writing is great, like Nana or Fruits basket

Speaking of romance. Blind wave is currently watching Kaguya-sama: Love is War and loving it. You guys should definitely watch it someday. It's the greatest romance imo. Genuinely a 10/10

in anime there are 2 types of romance ill accept personally: romance + mystery (apothecary diaries) or romance + comedy (love is war kaguya sama). you will never catch me watching a slice of life romance willingly no way in hell. i need substance i need plot i need something to chew on

Was looking forward to this reaction, it did not disappoint. Peak You will genuinely be better off if you skip the next 2 episodes, you truly do not want to see what happens in them. They are the only episodes in the rest of the show I would recommend skipping

I'm absolutely sure that this episode a lot of people first saw clips of and thought to themselves "What the hell is this" 😭😭. The people who thought it was too weird are missing out man, JoJo's has everything. Saying that we're gonna have a bit of a slog for two drops but after that its non stop bangers, followed by dare I say one of the best finale stretches in anime.

So true what you guys say at the end. Romance in something that isn't romance can be really interesting if it's handled well because it's ambiguous whether something will actually happen or not, making the further development interesting and satisfying. But when EVERYTHING revolves around the romance it's just often cheesy and predictable. That's one of the things I like about visual novels, Steins Gate is a perfect example of that, they'll make romance an important aspect of the story even if the theme is about something completely different.

Yuta Takamura found the direction rather difficult to sort out. The old lady gets a third appearance while Joseph and Avdol are locked into each other. Will she appreciate the show? (laughs) Just like the last episode, Joseph is a thrown around by Mariah's magnetism in a comical scale. It's only at the very end that he feels cool and brings down his adversary once and for all, as expected of a Joestar. The scene of the final attack teaming up with Avdol is formidably well rendered, the one in charge of the animation gave full disclosure to the teams and didn't really need to make modifications. Mariah is a female character, which is priceless in JoJo. We poured all our heart into showing her sexy side every time she appeared. The episode finished on a mysterious guy stalking Jotaro and Polnareff... It's a way of inviting the audience to watch the next episode. Note that in the manga, there's no precise indication of the chornology of the events.
