Horror suggestions: Hereditary Talk to Me Midsommar The Conjuring 1 and 2 Child's Play Weapons As Above So Below Anabelle Barbarian Smile 1 and 2 And many more... Halloween suggestions: Coraline Corpse Bride Monster House BeetleJuice The Nightmare Before Christmas And many more... I think you're too busy to do shows but if you ever want horror shows I'd recommend these: 1- AHS season 1, season 2, and season3 (each season is a different story with similar cast) it's made by Ryan Murphy who also wrote Monster + Scream Queens. 2- Scream Queens (this one is comedy/slasher mystery that is really good) this one got cult following/fandom 3-FROM 4-Carrie (new horror show adaptation of Carrie coming out Oct 7th) and many more

The scene were the chopper flies under the overpass is completely real, the Tamburro brothers where absolutely legendary helicopter pilots. If you saw an amazing helicopter stunt anytime from 1980 to 2000 it was probably one of the Tamburro brothers

you can see the budget. The first movie is a very low budget movie, that's why the effects doesn't look as good, but it's pretty amazing how much they did for a $6 million movie. T2 is $100 million

I know this movie is pretty mixed but I would love it if you guys watched Terminator Salvation. I loved that movie as a kid. It doesn't ruin this movie the way T3 does and it gives a modern look at the future war against the Terminators. Plus Christian Bale is in it.

Don’t watch the 3rd one this movie ends perfectly. I think the whole point of Sarah having hope for the future for the first time shows that it was changed. Also McKay to your point at the end Linda Hamilton (Sarah’s actor) wanted her character to be drastically different from the first movie which was a big reason. She “wanted to be crazy”. Also every single scene with two Sarah Connor’s on screen wasn’t special effects it was actually her twin sister playing her! All in all this is my goat movie I think it’s action perfection in every way and I loved yall reaction to it 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Terminator 3 is decent. Not as good as the first 2, but not terrible either. The movies after T3 are horrible. T3 is like Pirates of the Caribbean 3 basically. It's not as good as the first 2 but not horrible, either. But after the 3rd movie it's just bad

Someone might have already mentioned this, but the original ending actually was a flash forward where you see they did stop judgement day, but the suits wanted to leave it open ended for more sequels so they threw together that last shot of the highway after the fact. But I actually think the ambiguous ending does make it stronger overall. Just wish they would have left it there. Which is what James Cameron wanted.

T2 and Aliens were (are) the defining movies of the sci-fi genre. Robert Patrick (actor that played the T-1000) did a lot of training for the role, one of the reasons was that he had to be able to run without looking like he was running ie no facial expressions no mouth breathing or panting etc. He ended up becoming so fast that during that mall scene in the beginning, he actually caught up to the bike on the FIRST take. They had to give Edward Furlong (John Connor) a headstart and even then Robert almost caught up to him. James Cameron also made him walk and run slower throughout the movie because he was just too fast.

The problem with the rest of the Terminator series is that it just isnt good. James Cameron left the series after this and the following sequels are just average action movies. I dont recommend you watch them, and if you do then dont expect the story to continue in any meaningful way, just watch them as dumb action flicks.

Bro Robert Patrick actually had to slow down in the foot chase of John on the dirt bike since he actually caught him in the first shoot. He practised shooting without blinking and mimicked the movements of a snake, which gives us this iconic terminator. What a god-tier actor

T3 is not worth watching. It is extremely bad. It will ruin your perception of the series. It's a bad plot full of cringe one liners, constant self-references, fourth wall breaking obnoxious moments, relentlessly trying to be funny but always failing. Terminator Salvation and Terminator Dark Fate are both good but nothing will top Terminator 2 (though there are some die hard Terminator Salvation fans). Terminator Genysis had potential. Very interesting plot but terrible casting and direction.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is worth watching, imo. I've heard a lot of people say it's bad after the fact, but I recall being satisfied with it when I watched it, which was when it first came out. Not over the moon, I recall there being a few things I didn't like, but it had a solid conclusion, I think. I still stand behind the idea that you guys watch T3 and then skip everything else and watch Dark Fate - since that one is apparently the 'canon' ending to the franchise. I haven't seen it myself, but I'll definitely show up to watch it if you guys do and see if it's actually any good!

T3 is perfect because everyone thinks these movies are about the movie. They're about us and T3 encapsulates that and the main message throughlines. Watch them all except Dark Fate. Dark Fate is about complete and utter libertarian BS. Genysis is just fun and interesting imo. Salvation I think is your demographic anyway. I rejoined for this. Watch 3. You won't regret.

It's just a nod to like a soulless creation. The worst thing we could face as humans. The most destructive thing to our species is a humanity less, automatic kill machine, which humans can also become when fearing (as exampled by Sarah). Yah idc about Avatar either. There's a scene in the show Future Man relating to him tho that sort of encapsulates why he likely focuses on his largest wealth creation to date. There's also the controversy of the terminator concept origins, and I'm more inclined to believe he understands the concept premises more than he embodies them himself, ironically.

All that gets a bit dicey, there was a lawsuit I think that failed by this woman author. But there were also claims that it ripped from episodes of The Outer Limits called "Soldier" and "Demon with a Glass Hand" if you wanna look it up, which ties it right back to the demonic you referred to in your original comment now that I think about it lol.
