i dont believe araki chooses the color schemes in the anime but he does supervise so there aren't any colors he disapproves of. He's also said that there aren't any 'canon' color schemes and he often times colors the same characters in with different colors. For the most part, the anime studio bases their colors off official art. I don't believe you guys have seen any yet, but in later parts there are characters whose colors schemes are completely different than the manga

Fun fact, Araki has gone on record saying there are rarely any “official” colors for any of the manga art he does. He says that he colors scenes, not characters. Alot of his art will feature wildly different colors depending on the scene because he wants to draw out a different emotions when the viewer looks at it, which is why the anime does that in kind - scenes will randomly completely shift color palletes; outfits, hair colors, settings, and skys, nothing is set in stone and is always free to be changed.

So Araki has done many color panels and some color mangas and the colors are always wild. Not very standard, but rather very strong and contrasting choices to real world colors.

I don't usually read the comments so idk if it has been said, if not it certainly will be but Carter reading the subtitle saying Shining Diamond reminded me. from now on you'll notice a theme with the stand names I won't spoil but the actual stand name is what the character verbally calls it, the subtitles legally have to change it but the audio is still correct.

Josuke's stand name is Crazy Diamond, changed for copyright to Shining Diamond, but no one really refers to him with that name 😅 And yes, the opening could have waited until episode 5, but it doesn't really matter, and this opening changes a lot, so it works fine.

Make sure to listen to what they call their Stands because the names are diffent in the subtitles due to localization. Alot of the Stand names are referencing rock bands but so they say it correctly in japanese but again due to localizatoion and copyright the subtitle names are different
