The last episode of The Last of Us!! What an incredible show this was. Way different than we were expecting. What a crazy finale. Should we add another live action show?

Philbo

defintely add another live-action show. do you guys haave any that catch your eye so far?

Robyn

If you're looking for a well reviewed live action show to replace this one I'd suggest 'DARK' on netflix, its a complete 3 season show, and it reminds alot of aot with how well thought out the story was.

kiiturii

the last of the last of us huh

Sterling

This show has been a such a ride 🤠 And I think adding live action shows to watch would be good variety for y'all 🥰

Amy_D

I definitely think it’s a good idea to branch out into more than just anime, more live action shows, films, even games would be great! Perhaps a last of us playthrough 💁🏻‍♀️

Elina

Something I really loved about this episode is that the actress playing Ellie’s mom is Ashley Johnson, and she did the voice acting and mocap for Ellie in the games so it was like a literal and metaphorical passing of the torch. The original Ellie giving birth to the new Ellie.

Mia Malvik

Honestly I'd probably do the same thing as Joel with the whole saving Ellie thing. Of course not the ideal choice but I just understand it so well and I'd probably be selfish too. And I don't think I'd give myself up if I had the cure, mainly because I wouldn't trust the world to use it in a good way. I mean, we literally have life saving medicine in the real world that many people don't have access to because they either live in the wrong country or can't afford it. So messed up. Anyway! This episode was so good. Probably my favourite. Sad it's over, but a new live action show would be awesomeee

Christian Velandia

Ellie’s mom played and voiced Ellie in the game. Buddyboy played/voiced Joel. Marlene played Marlene. And the guy the bloater ripped in half played Tommy

I love what they did with the show. Video game Ellie giving birth to Ellie is perfect. I love how so many themes and messages come back in the show. Joel telling Ellie you deserve a choice in episode 6 and both Joel and marlene taking that choice from her. Maria saying the only people that can betray us are the people we trust in episode 6 and Joel lying to Ellie. Kathleen when she was talking to Henry about Sam in episode 5 about Sam life being worth everything foreshadows the finale. In the final scenes, I think you can tell that Ellie doesn’t believe Joel. When Ellie opened up to Joel about Riley, I think that was her way of saying this is the chance to tell me the truth and he still lied to her.

Starkfern

Have you guys seen daredevil

Kim555

You're not ready for season 2. Pls stay away from game spoilers of season 2

LupusRex69

You should definitely check out Dark on Netflix. Its a 3 season with a perfect ending. I really think you'll like it.

The RZA

I wonder how their first interactions as actors for this show went being as they both were actors in Game of Thrones (she was Lyanna Mormont) and if that impacted how much i like them as a team in this.

kev

Chernobyl next!

adam

u guys should watch Dark (german mystery series with lots of theories and plot twists!) / True Detective season 1 (crime series) / The Boys (action series) next!

Spencer Wattamaniuk

Chernobyl (Another Craig Mazin series), True Detective S1, and Dark would be my choices for another live action series that isn't too long.

Tiffy

This has been great guys. Watching y'all go from hating Ellie to loving Ellie just like Joel was amazing. Joel did the right thing right up until he lied. Even if she wanted to die to be a cure, she was a severely depressed 14 year old, who just got almost eaten and raped and had to kill the dude to survive. She was not in the mindset to make life altering choices. But Joel shouldn't have lied. They've set up the second game perfectly.

Alex Klein

You guys need to start DARK on Netflix next! It's insane and it would be soo fun to hear all the theories. It's the perfect show

DARK is the best show I have ever seen, ranking above AOT for plot imo. All they need to do is look at the reviews on IMDB and they'll be in!

A

Rylie told Ellie about Marlene that night before the mall. They knew each other for like a couple days right? 2 adults should have waited and talked with a 14 year old girl, told her straight up what would’ve happened and let her decide for herself. To me that’s just simple respect. I 100% get why Joel did it. I most likely would have done the same. He was wrong for lying. He was selfish but to me, so was Marlene and the fireflies in the same breath. I’m so excited for season 2! I watched the full gameplay and what a story it is. I’m so curious to see how they bring it to life because I think they should take a slight different direction.

Well, Dark is more complex than aot for plot but there are no massages behind it unlike aot, characters are weaker too.

True messages in aot are anti-war and anti-fascism. Isayama wanted to tell us 'if we continue to conflict, cycle of hatred never stops. We must keep trying to escape from the forest'. Dark is just complex.

Paulina Aliaga

I loved the second game, I get why some hate it but at the same time I don't get it. I think it evolves really organic and it stays true to this world. Really curious on how they will make the second season, heard that they will add more story and drag it out for more seasons. Seems like the smartest way to go

leah

don’t feel like going through all the comments so i’m sure someone said this already but the lady who played ellie’s mom at the beginning of the episode is actually the voice actor for ellie in the games!!

leah

i don’t think her age should have anything to do with whether she was able to make the decision or not tbh. it’s still her own body and that’s what she wanted to do with it. i think the fireflies should’ve just sat her down, talked to her, explained the risks etc and then had her make the choice. imo, both joel AND the fireflies were wrong.

you get me! 😌 so many people harp on Joel alone (and I always acknowledge that he is in the wrong in a certain way) but they always leave Marlene and fireflies out. Like what!

Saphira

I feel like yall would love “The Glory” or “Weak Hero: Class One”. Both deal with heavy themes such as bullying (in school but also outside of it), sexual assault, child abuse and corrupt systems while still having badass action scenes (weak hero) and revenge (The Glory). Both are Korean dramas (The Glory is on Netflix) that have 40 min episodes i think. The Glory has 2 seasons while Weak Hero has only 1. Big on plot twists and revelations that just make the viewers lose their minds.

Xeons

It was great to see y'all go on this post apocalyptic journey! Really hope at least one of you plays Part 2 on Twitch and take us along for the ride!

Wägi qwq

Could you add my favourite show "Severance"? It's really mysterious and probably a bit weird at times. But every time you get a bit more of that spoon fed to you, and the show is so realistic, well made and just interesting.

Gam Mac

I'm late for the party XD but I just wanna add my 2 cents: a lot of people don't talk about the fact that Ellie is 14 yrs old and she shouldn't be burdened with the guilt or responsibility of saving the world. Joel is the closest thing she has to a legal guardian so Joel did the right thing by protecting her from the feral world.

Sasha

Where is episodes 6-8?

celery

it says i have to pay 4 dollars for uncut tier but i pay for the highest tier so i think maybe they have those ones under the wrong tier idk???

Sasha

If Brig's theory is right he will be "Brig the Genius" instead of "Brig the Menace"

Zipzzty

Peak Show Can’t wait for season 2

rosa_gris

The ending of this game was so controversial back when it was first released. There were many heated debates on the morality of Joel’s decision, how Ellie would react to the truth, and whether humanity would benefit from / deserves a cure. Much like the discussion at the end on the couch. Part II answered some of those questions and took it in a direction many didn’t like. One of the reasons why it is such a divisive game.

DonDuh103

Man I miss Brig😭😭😭 Will yall ever try to get Brig to come back for a short 12ep show or even a movie please🙏🙏🙏

Nana Pam

Briggs’s theory about Ellie connecting with the cordyceps is brilliant and better than the real ending.
