My work has an automat type thing. Not as cool and machine based as the originals, but basically just an unmanned kiosk with snacks and drinks and you're kind of on the honor system to go to the kiosk and pay (I mean, there are cameras lol). So same idea, but not as charming. They replaced the real cafe that used to be there so...yuck. However that cafe pulled out during the pandemic and we have about 25% of the people there in person than we did before, so I kinda get it.

Amish country does sound spooky but imagine being in the middle of nowhere in Idaho fields at night, only a few stars, no cell service, and a cow just shows up in the middle of the road. Definitely thought that was how I die and legit screamed. I was just a Philly girl in Idaho facing some of my scariest nightmares 😂

Driving through Amish country reminds me of when I got detoured off the highway in the middle of nowhere in Texas and then there we no signs. Just darkness and field. Also, I need Alex to back of y’all. As a midwestern transplant to the south, I refused to say it for years on principle. But then I came to realize it’s actually an awesome gender inclusive way to refer to a group. You all is too formal and you guys is too gendered for some. These days I’d sooner associate y’all with the queer community than the confederate flag 😂😂

Wore a 666 hoodie in Amish country during a road trip and we stopped at a Golden Corral...the family waiting to be seated after us immediately turned around and left after seeing my hoodie 😭 I still feel bad about it. We drove cross country from Montana trying to get back to NH and were just hungry.
