Hypnotists are definitely hacks. When I graduated high school, there was a hypnotist at the post-graduation party the school held. And I volunteered to be hypnotized. It didn’t work but I acted as if it did and sold the performance to the point my friends bought it. I was raised in a conservative Christian church, but by my senior year of high school was starting to break out of it and hang out less with my uber-religious friends though I still remained in contact with them. I failed to consider that my best friend from that circle was in the audience of that hypnotist show. She had a panic attack about me being possessed by satan, and tattled on me to my mother that “Ellie was opening up herself to demonic possession” [at the SCHOOL SPONSORED graduation party, mind you]. So, needless to say the next day I was in hot water with my mother. (I can’t remember my dad saying anything). For something that I insisted didn’t even work. She said it didn’t matter.

Something struck me hard this stuff was around on the 90‘s called mini thins!! It took them until 2004 for FDA to ban this crap . Btw you can still get them now..Rinse, wash and repeat… 😖 Many of my generation were absolutely effected by toxic skinny trends and it all started with the model Twiggy from 1965-1970 ( she was naturally really skinny and wasn’t something she was forced into in fact when she was school aged she was teased for how skinny she was.) Her popularity is what kicked off these awful diet trends and had a snowball effect from the 70‘s to 2000‘s.

Herbalist/plant sciences nerd here! Lobelia + Kava is CRAZY! Both can cause hepatotoxicity when used chronically or outside of their therapeutic windows. Adding Kola leaf exacerbates that risk as well. Basically liver killer in a pill!

Listen, BIMBO is a Mexican package bread brand, kind of like Wonder. The brand is a mix of two words “Bingo” and “Bambi” (don't ask). Knowing what it means in English as a Mexican and having Mrs. P repeated it over and over again, bended me laughing for half an hour straight!!! Hahahaha gold.
