I don’t always get ads but this time at the top of the episode I got the following three in a row: LinkedIn Jobs, Better Help, and an ad for a new podcast by two cops trying to talk about the “real people doing their job every day to make sure justice is served”…I love when advertisers just plaster their ads without any consideration of the target audience lmao

Mrs. P: since you love to cook, and hate scrolling through the life stories of the recipe creators as much as the rest of us do, I would highly advise you to seek out the app Paprika. It allows you to manage all your recipes and it includes a browser feature where you can stick a link in it and it will suck all of the recipe out of the other bullshit so you don't even have to look for it. It just puts it into your recipe library. It is fkn MAGICAL. It's not cheap but usually goes on sale in November. Not a shill, just a major fan of the app :)

Missed opportunity to tie in the very anticipated Killers of the Flower Moon & the birth of the FBI. Excellent book, Martin Scorsese directed movie coming out very soon. These investigations and the public trials really put the BOI on the map which then became the FBI

Also I’ve had to remind people over and over, especially under Drump that moral and legal are two WILDLY different things, sadly. And my grandma, despite having a husband in the Navy, was sent to a German American concentration camp in Florida during WW2 with her parents while her hubby was stationed in Hawaii. She was born in Wisconsin but her parents were Germans from Russia. (Volga Germans) who were very active in sponsoring other Germans immigrating to the US after WW1. My grandma spoke only German till she was 7 and only learned English because she needed it for school. After she got to the camp she never spoke a word of German ever again, except when she was upset and swearing in German at my grandfather. She always said to me, she regretted losing her first language.
