Mrs. P continues f*$&ed-tober by telling Mr. P the story of Dee Dee and Gypsy Rose Blanchard. For new listeners, most episodes aren't this heavy. There are 39 other episodes that are a lot more fun than this one.

While I understand this ep was dark, I do really appreciate the info and context for Gyspe. Hope she gets to enjoy life after she’s out. Also hope every time Gyspe sees a toilet, she can get some happiness.

Live your life with the confidence of an Alex Pearlman reading ANY non-english word, butchering it in the process, and moving on unscathed. 🤣🤣 PS. Please say prêt-à-manger again when you can lol

Coco Boomslang

This poor girls story is prime f*$&ed-tober, poor thing.

My first job was at a movie theater and I worked in theaters all through college. I can’t tell you the number of horny teens and grown ass adults we kicked out for some type of sex act. The theatre I worked at in college did the live Rocky Horror Picture Show and we had metal detectors and a sign that said “only one person per seat” because the sex attempts were real common.

Pelicans are my favorite dinosaur

There was a limited Netflix series by Ryan Murphy "The Politician". It was musical and supposed to be lighthearted but there was a side plot where a character, played by Jessica Lange, had Munchausen's by proxy. It really made me uneasy to say the least Wasn't quite as bad as this but it was disturbing. I now want to see that live action Cinderella if Rob Brydon is in it. It's hard to get a lot of his stuff in the US.

The Pod is Coming From Inside the Cast!

My best friend has lived in New Orleans his entire life. I straight up asked him once if saying "Norleans" was okay and he told me hell the fuck no. Hulu's short series The Act tells this story and it's very good, the cast is absolutely superb. Though obviously again really disturbing so be aware of that.

Gypsy Rose is my Roman empire. She's telling her story in a docuseries that I'm patiently waiting to watch. I know this story is dark but I'm glad you guys did an episode on it.

Wow I had blocked that Wishbone episode out. This episode was a hard listen but thank you for doing it. For sure fits Fucktober.

The story about telling ridiculously tall tales just made me think of an ex that told me 1. he was the archangel Michael (he was really in to the show Supernatural). And 2. that his dad was Shemar Moore (lol no he wasn’t).

Alex's air horn game absolutely sent me this week. The air horn really speaks for all of us.

Here to advocate for the only good Disney Live Action movie Cinderella. Directed by Kenneth Branagh the cast is stellar and it is not a musical. It’s a great sweet lighthearted family film that’s not overly cutesy or jokey, beautiful costumes and set. That being said CANNOT imagine getting it on then sitting down to watch this movie.

Anne N

Mrs P this was heavy AF and I think you did it gracefully. Definitely fuckedtober worthy

Hey! Couldn't figure out how to send a direct message but I sent the Boppy! There was supposed to be a gift receipt with a little note. 😊💖

Red Moon

As a true crime nut I loved this episode so much. The sheer joy of Alex when he realized Dee Dee got murdered and FLUSHED had me fucking laughing my ass off at work

Sweet Dreams System

Thank you for the Content Warning. I am not going to listen, and I appreciate the heads up. I appreciate your concern for the listeners well being. I cannot wait for Alex to read ACOTAR!

Wiscoliz

I *just* saw an ad for a documentary coming in January with her speaking.

✨Sparkling Misandry✨

Fun fact: I played Louison in The Imaginary Invalid when I was a freshman in high school. She is supposed to be, like, 10 so I had to strap down my boobs and also get spanked by the older boy playing Argan. Memories🎶 🤣

Y’all did a great job with this even though it’s a hard topic. My grandmother had Münchausen syndrome (not by proxy), so while I’m always incredibly interested in stories like this it’s also weirdly close to home. Y’all did such a great job of covering this in a very real way versus much media about Münchausen syndrome that is so sensationalized. I had such a hard relate moment when Dee Dee got flushed down the toilet because that sentiment is so similar to how I felt about my grandmother when she passed. I didn’t cry when she died, but I just felt ‘bad’ for her that she lived such a miserable life. Doesn’t change that she was a terrible human. Münchausen syndrome really exemplifies how having mental health struggles doesn’t excuse being a terrible person and hurting other people.

Getting caught up...for the record, the live action Cinderella movie is WONDERFUL! :-)

Wait omg there’s going to be a new 3 day “docu series event” on Lifetime about Gypsy Rose in January and I’m like fucked January here we goooo!

This is two years late and I was checking the comments to see how these tabs lined up with things we know now, but now I saw this comment and I'm really hoping they/you are talking about the Brandy version.
