Hey Mrs P. Fellow milk hater here too. I felt so seen when you went on your little rant about it because everyone looks at me like I have 2 heads when I say I hate milk, but I'm not a vegan 😂

This came at the perfect time, it’s been so long since we’ve had a book club

I love book club so much! Mrs P is amazing. Though I can't stop laughing at Alex "ok class, last year we had chocy milk, this year we're having strawberry milk! Why are you screaming?" I also agree with his overall take on the teacher.

Not glad I stuck with Sunday’s episode but glad I powered through chapter one of this. Gonna go read it now.

I'm pretty sure they're in middle school. In japan and korea ppl in school drink milk or soy milk at all ages and in the movie they were around 13

This bookclub motivated me to go out and buy her book Penance. I have been in a reading slump for years and I was able to finish Penance in two days. Thank you so so fucking much for this podcast 🖤

Here is something of a plot twist the Aids virus can’t be transmitted through food the stomach acid kills the virus. So neither boy had Aids.

Japanese work culture in 2008 is... bad. They even invented a word for "unintentional death from overwork" - karōshi 過労死 I'm not surprised the author left that undistinguished in the words. I'm definitely gonna go get this book.
