Hello everyone hope you're doing well! I've had this small idea in my head for a while now! When I'm running a combat scene I feel like I have to do too much, close each sheet when I'm done, open the sheet of the actors that have to act, drag the character sheet so I can see the scene behind it and use targeting, sometimes the character sheet is just too big and annoying to have on screen!

Well I had to fix those problems! And the solution came as a module! Better Combat Sheet attempts to fix all these problems, problems which I attempted to fix in my own VTM V20 system partially, now the solution is system agnostic! Furthermore I just released a small update for VTM V20 that makes it more compatible with the module.

Ok, enough talk, what does it do?

Features:

  • Every actor that the GM controls in combat appears as a tab on top of current the character sheet, like browser tabs! You can easily switch between them!

    • Double-clicking a token on the map jumps to its sheet

    • An orange stripe marks whose turn it is; defeated NPCs grey out

    • Tabs are sorted by initiative and show actor names; duplicates are told apart by token name on hover

    • NPCs joining or leaving the combat add or remove their tabs automatically

  • On an NPC’s turn, their sheet opens by itself; any player controlled actors are skipped

  • Clicking the scene tucks the open sheet away into the tab row, this enables you to quickly look around or use targeting without having to manually minimize or close the sheet

  • A special size slider allows you to change the size of all character sheets in combat (Also a toggle option for out of combat as well).

    • Everything is resized, not only the dimensions of the sheet

Compatibility

Foundry VTT v13/14 — System Agnostic!

As mentioned for those of you who are using the VTM system please update before using this module! The same goes for users of Enhanced Inventory! I pushed an update that minimized the equipment panel when an actor sheet is minimized!

The module is system agnostic, but certain systems don't allow their sheets to be minimized and accordingly the module's tab feature won't work.
