I would write the caption that changes the world here, but I have to change out of my sweatshirt and topsider-skeuomorph-slippers and help parade the Christmas Day prime rib around the living room, shoulder-high. Happy holidays, all!

A set-and-forget relationship is what many of us were taught to accept. So let us hope Beef and Molly have to turn the pan and baste and cover with foil.

“The cement shoes of my love” is a felicitous turn of phrase

“Not making me do your thinking.” Onstadt, you son of a bitch, I told you to stop lurking outside my windows with your little spiral top-bound reporters notebook and stealing our private conversations for your little art project, or whatever it is you do over there in your basement when decent people should be sleeping!

See? You would have had a period at the end, there, if you kept a special drawer, in, the kitchen, for the grammar stuff (as I do).

To be fair, every man gets reminded of this or should be reminded of this every year forever.

muchas gracias for "the cement shoes of my love" — a novel in six words

I'm not saying you should sell that Christmas card but I've been to Hallmark headquarters and they have de Kooning and Voulkos and stuff just up on the wall and sitting in the hallways on the way to the cafeteria, like that's just a thing. What I am saying is card making seems like it has a potential for profit, I for one would buy that card and send it to a person or persons as needed.

I did Roast Beef stationery sets for a while (inspired by the arc of the same theme). I could see bringing them back, people liked them and regular cards are just not useful for people of intelligence and taste.

Intelligence and taste are among the many qualities I have been accused of lacking!
