Knowing when and how to put a bow on a big ol' story arc is a lot like finishing a painting: only you can tell when it's done, and since paintings and story arcs aren't pizzas and hamburgers, completion is a fuzzy proposition. One thing I like to do is either have the protagonist(s) burn down a massive underground annual combat event, or fly away separately in jets — one in shame, one in riches.

We now return to what I expect will be many months of fun, one-off gag strips...until I get cocky again, and send the crew on another open-ended journey which starts out as an obvious moral quest but ends up with somebody inheriting a failing mayonnaise company in Mexico and learning nothing.

Huggins won't know what hit him

Achewood

I miss that vinegar-puss. Maybe he needs his own standalone Friday.

Bruce Wright

SOMETHING has to be the new music, because it sure as shit ain't music these days

Julie (HiDeeHoGal)

Roe Jogan will probably have Ray and Teodor on his podcast first, then maybe Pete. Not Pat though. Never Pat.

Mina Roller

Whoa - Never imagined Nice Pete could get scarier!

The villain may always unveil a powerful new war-body (e.g. Shredder, Kafka, Trantor).

Achewood

What's this in reference to, old man?

Achewood

I had a person tell me Taylor swift songs that are good. I listened to them and could smell The Gap

Achewood

Teodor would only get to talk once, and he'd mispronounce "bowhunting," (bow as in bow down), and be completely disregarded the rest of the six hours

Bruce Wright

now it’s either polypropylene pop or rhythmically chanted obscenities

Ian Stewart

At first glance, I thought Pat was left with an intense craving for roasted bees, a fate that is more evocative if concluded there and otherwise left to the imagination.

Achewood

If Bill Gates gets his way we'll all be eating roasted bees and wearing thin v-neck sweaters that are pretty close in color to our trousers!

Achewood

all that music got on my lawn and now there are these browned spots

Ian Stewart

one day, I'm gonna buy that motherfucker's old Porsche and drive it around with a license plate frame that says "Best Viewed In Internet Explorer" with the little "e" icon down in the corner. By that point, there will only be a few crochety old cynics left who get the joke

Anthony Thompson

"...paintings and story arcs aren't pizzas and hamburgers..." much to ponder here

Conor Nelson

Some roasted-ass beets do really hit the spot in the right moment

Achewood

SHIT need to fix this EDIT oh wait, typos are ok in the production documents, they are authentic and represent the speed with which the author attempts to capture his hopes and dreams for the characters

Achewood

It's not a perfect analogy, because I'm also often not sure when I'm done with a pizza or hamburger.

Achewood

As with Gardenburger and falafel, these cravings may indicate pica

Sedric and Charlie

Imagine if you slammed 150 microdoses of mushrooms in one go to finally understand what you did wrong with your ex-boyfriend and then instead of working to grow as a person you did a different drug and became Carroided-Out Top

Sedric and Charlie

[author's note: I think "Carroid Top" would have had more elegance, but the "-ed-Out" part serves the necessary function of confirming it is not a typographic error. Oh the compromises we make]

FactWino

Burgers and burritos are never full enough and then they are too full.

Anthony Thompson

Post-resurrection Jesus, Gandalf the White, Monster Isle Ben Grimm, things of that nature.

Anthony Thompson

“Production Document” now a gender option in many drop-downs to reflect this
