Road to Perdition is one of my favorite movies, very overlooked Tom Hanks performance.

redddfer44

"So many great movies, I wonder if this is one of my fave genres."

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

It was a tough choice. I went with the Orson Welles/Rita Hayworth movie.

I definitely want to watch Mulholland Drive, but I think it would be cool for Ames to see Vertigo first (since Lynch is well-known to be inspired by that film). But, Que Sera Sera

Wow, haven’t seen Brick mentioned in a hot minute. I always like JGL and thought the modern take on noir was fun though to be fair, this isn’t really my genre but am happy it’s out here for others to enjoy. Hopefully one day we’ll see a reaction to it.

Robert Berry

I remember the first time I saw Road to Perdition, it was shockingly amazing to see Tom Hanks playing a stone killer for the first time. Even in Saving Private Ryan, there was still a level of humanity in his character being a soldier, that completely disappeared as he was playing a mafia enforcer.

Chris Baldwin

Had to go with "Collateral". It's a Michael Mann film, so is very old school "Miami Vice" TV show in style. Great Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx performances.

Catchermag

You could do a poll on Brain Mush movies since your brain is heading that way. I’m big into zombie films lol…..bBbRRaaaaiiiNnNssssssss!!!

I voted Body Heat. I like Collateral. Nightcrawler is impressively wild but almost too creepy for me.

Toc

Gaaaaaa....it's gotta be Chinatown. Especially if she's seeing Maltese Falcon right before! Ok, let me bite my tongue!😂

Toc

Man, I'm really psyched for tomorrow's Wheel spin. You said....."what a wild ride". Hmmmmm. Intrigued!!

Reggie

I voted for Vertigo, which I consider to be the greatest movie of all time.

VivendoBem

The good news is that it's hard to go wrong with any choice, but, since "Body Heat" looks to have no chance, I'm going with "Chinatown" as it is actually a true and essential (neo) noir. Reasonable minds can disagree, of course, but I consider both "Rear Window" and "Vertigo", which I'm sure our fearless leader will get to (hopefully soon), really belonging in the sui generis genre of Hitchcock Thriller rather than noir (or, to me, even noir adjacent). But, whatever happens, I'm sure we'll have fun.

AJ

Was hoping for No Country for Old Men. I'm sure it will come around again. Javier Bardem is unreal. The range of his characters from No Country to Skyfall to Vicky Christina Barcelona is incredible. Maybe the universe wants me to see Chinatown for the first time. I'll have to settle for Jack. Could definitely be worse.

Tony2012av

Omg I haven't seen Dark City since I was a kid!! Hopefully one day it wins 🍿🥤

Shawn Goforth

Well, looks like we get another coin flip.
