I've so been waiting on this one! It probably wasn't what you expected. It's not what anyone expects. But that's what makes it so great! I'm going to watch it now, immediately! OK, I watched it. What a great reaction! I'll fill you in on some things if you're interested. But I'll put those thoughts on Discord so I don't spoil anything for someone that hasn't seen it yet that might be reading this.

Hmmmm….not exactly the write up I expected lol I quote lines from this on a regular basis. And not the racist ones. Mainly ‘Mongo pawn in game of life’ …..and ‘You’re so talented, and they’re SOOO dumb!’

This was a real treat, Ames. Thank you for this. Watch 'Young Frankenstein' soon. It's at least as funny as 'Blazing Saddles' and it would be a delight to watch it with you. :)

Most reactors had a hard time, just laughing with this movie. We use to be able to laugh about the stupidity of people, but today, people just are trained not to laugh. Randolph Scott was an actor from 1928-1962 best known for his westerns appearing in more then 60 of them. Hedley Lamarr in this movie was also correcting people for saying Hedy Lamarr which is a Hollywood actress in the 1930's till 1958 Mel Brooks best to me is Young Frankenstein (1974) makes fun of Frankenstein (1931) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935) High Anxiety (1978) takes from 10 Hitchcock films. I do not think you seen The Birds (1963) yet.

This is a film that you either get or don't. One thigs is for sure though nobody has any idea what they're about to see. It's always fun too see what reactors get and don't get. Hedy Lamarr, Randolph Scott, Jesse Owens, Count Basie, it is my privilege to extend a Laurel and Hardy handshake to our new... and so on. Always happy to see Mel Brooks in his films. This movie has one of my favorite lines "Mongo only pawn... in game of life" I mean here we are laughing at stupid people and then the movie hits us with this line that says it all doesn't it. Glad you finally got to see this Ames.

Funny movie. “Hey, where are the white women at?” The racism satire is great and well done. I think that was The Roadrunner thing with Mongo. I like Gene Wilder. I’ve known about this movie since I was 10 when the movie released, and knowing about the body humor w/the beans = hilarious to a kid.

Ames, this was such a fun reaction! Sadly, I’ve seen a number of reactions where they don’t grasp the satire, don’t realize all of the jokes are on the racists, and don’t see what Mel Brooks and everyone involved were saying with the film. And I love that you also just reacted to Willy Wonka. It gives me the unneeded excuse to make it a Gene Wilder double feature today!
