Such an awesome movie! Great watch along absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the Sunday fun. I totally forgot Dave Chapell was in this one. He's incredible. And Patrick Stweart was a treat. Can't wait for more watch-alongs.

"A lifesaver? It's a f'ing lifesaver?!" That was hilarious, I had to watch it twice. And when that assassin was in the tower with the sign "folio depository" it was a reference to Lee Harvey Oswold, he shot JFK from a book depository in Texas - I hadn't caught that before, but in a Mel Brooks movie EVERYTHING means something. Thanks for the laughs, that was fun!

As far as Robin Hood movies go there are many good ones: The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) is the classic one with Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland and other greats I really enjoyed Robin Hood (2010), but you have to watch the director's cut since that's how Ridley Scott wanted it to be The Disney animated one is fantastic and I just love it. Great actors with splendid animation. Then there is Robin and Marian (1978) about an aging Robin Hood with Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn and Robert Shaw. It's very different from the others, but I really enjoyed it.

Just an amazing movie, glad you got a ton of laughs from it. Cary Elwes plays the best Robin Hood. The way he always fights with such a huge smile on his face is awesome. The sheriff of Rottingham is one of my favourite villains, he's just so...smarmy. It's my favourite Mel Brooks film, followed by Dracula: Dead and Loving it. Might be something to check out around halloween!

If Dick Van Patten looks familiar, he was King Roland, Princess Vespa's father, in "Spaceballs." And during the scene with the villagers, Ahchoo's "Sherwood Forrest landed on us" speech is an homage to Spike Lee's "Malcolm X." The glasses he wears are even similar to the ones Denzel Washington wears as Malcolm.

I like the Mel Brooks running joke, since "History of the World: Part 1" (1981) 'It's good to be the King"

Mel Brooks is the king of breaking the 4th wall.
