...and here it is folks! Thank so much for all your noms! I tried to put all the most popular votes up! I'm so sorry if one of your noms isn't on here! But I see many more westerns in the future!🔮

I'm going to go approval style voting to see if there will be an underdog battle that could possibly take "Unforgiven" and "Open Range" ??? We'll see how it shakes out?! It could potentially be a Western kinda month depending on how the votes end up!

Ames, nice job in constructing the poll.

It’s letting me vote for more than one. Democracy at its finest!

Bubba Fett

There's some good gems in here!!

Richard B

A Clint Eastwood western retrospective would be cool. Some samples from his early movies and ending with Unforgiven.

Big Willie Dickins

Unforgiven always carries more weight & significance after having seen a few earlier Clint Eastwood westerns, as it's a deconstruction of his 'man with no name' outlaw archetype

Kim

Shane and High Noon are classics that don’t garner the attention of younger audiences. But please take my word, these two have much to offer in terms of integrity and character.

RFK Fan

Gotta go FULL Kevin Costner here... DWW or OPEN RANGE please!

Brent Turner

The cinematography of Shane cannot be overstated.

Erwin Quiachon

Without spoiling, it helps to understand that a big reason that Unforgiven is considered a landmark film is because "Cowboy" movies and Clint Eastwood movies in general were criticized for not being very deep, not putting much value on humanity, and purely just entertainment, not to be taken seriously. Movies like Goodfellas were often referred to as "Cowboy" movies for being very entertaining, very violent, but without any deep meaning. After Unforgiven, the media stopped giving Clint Eastwood that old crap and started taking him a lot more seriously.
