Hey Everyone!

I think I knocked my USB cord while watching Oppenheimer the first time and thats what caused the audio mishap!😭 Last week when I unplugged it to move things around I noticed when plugging it back in that it had a loose connection! So I contacted Shure and they are sending me a new USB!

With a lil help from my friends! 🎶 I took some suggestions and re:reacted/ provided new commentary/ talked about how I was feeling during the scenes where the audio cut outs happen. It's kinda like inception... I kept the original reaction and added another PIP box with my new commentary!

Thanks to everyone for being so patient and kind during this audio mishap! I really appreciate it! Means a lot to have all your support!

Love you all so so so soooooo MUCH!

A re-reaction, inside a reaction, is like inception, did you find your spinner? 🤣

Truly over and above the call of duty, Ames!! I can't wait to see (and hear) this!

Dang girl! Great save! I wasn't worried, sometimes I watch ur reactions without the movies lol

Nicely done, Ames!! The PiP window with commentary during the scenes with audio cut outs worked beautifully. I'm sure it took a lot of time and energy to put this second Watch Along together but it's much appreciated! Thank you! Your commitment to your Patreon crew is unmatched! You're the best!!

I don't know why, but I feel this is going to be more enjoyable than the original reaction. 😀 Looking forward to it.

Thanks for the added commentary, it's great to see! To answer some questions you brought up/comment on a couple things- The marbles they put in the bowls represent the amount of refined fissionable material their plants have made so far, and its only a few marbles at a time since its an incredibly intensive process. The larger bowl is the amount of Uranium needed for the gun-type Uranium device and the smaller one is the amount of Plutonium needed for the Implosion design that was tested in the Trinity test shown in the movie. The bomb used for Nagasaki was the same Plutonium Implosion design as the Trinity test and the one used on Hiroshima was the Uranium type. The name you couldn't remember at the party, Niels Bohr- one of the most important/foundational people to understanding atomic structure and early quantum theory. Teller's legacy- The basic design that essentially all fusion bomb designs come from was named the Teller-Ullam design, and it does indeed use a small fission bomb to set off the fusion reaction. Last, a bit more context about the abort button- You're more or less right that the focus on it is about avoiding ruining the bomb. If the charge in the detonator isn't enough, it wouldn't completely ignite all the high explosive sections (the large pentagonal pyramid pieces they were putting together) completely or at close enough to the same time. That would just blast the device apart and scatter the extremely hard to produce refined material all over the test site and they only barely enough material. For the nuclear reaction to work the carefully designed shaped explosive sections have to detonate together down to the nanosecond scale, in fact they coined a unit of time, the "shake" with 1 shake= 10 nanoseconds, because all the calculations happen on that tiny time scale.

I agree with Everyone that you went 110% on this for us all. You are a Treasure. "Alice, you're the greatest."

I wonder who'll be able to identify that quote....

So, "Oppenheimer" won Best Picture. Congratulations, Well done.
