✨ hey girlies! long time no chat 🥹 i hope you all had a smashing hallow’s eve! 🎃🖤 i do apologise for going a bit MIA these past few months 😅 — but from my lurking, it looks like you’ve all been having the best time with other fans, and honestly, it makes my heart so happy 🥰🥰🥰 not to make this a full-on public confession, but i think i’ve instinctively gone a bit recluse since the end of the Like Us era. i’m struggling to close the chapter on that mixed-cast magic we used to have — the nerdy / comics / pop culture / zeitgeist moment we were all living through. like… it’s been over ten years?! (since I was 17 and now I’m 26!!! 😭💔). i’ve literally grown up reading about your characters who were obsessed with their fictional characters — the meta layers of fandom-on-fandom made it feel like home. i love the Cobalts to death, truly. the second-gen Cobalts are some of the most unique characters in your entire pantheon — but i guess i’ve had a hard time adjusting to this new era. to be fair, i haven’t read Burn Bright yet (waiting for it to drop in the signed store 👀), so maybe this is all just me spiraling in advance! maybe i’m totally misunderstanding the new direction! but before, the world was sprinkled with the things that shaped what i loved most — comics, fandoms, pop culture nods, intellectual chaos like Jane or Connor, and all those outdoorsy, weirdly specific hobbies (rock climbing supremacy 🧗‍♀️). it made everything feel familiar and alive. 💫 now it’s more “strict Cobalt MO,” and i miss that big, messy, meta energy that used to run through everything. and not just that — the format itself!! I’m still adjusting to this whole “one book moment per couple” reality. like. hello?? what do you mean I don’t get to broil in a couple’s era for years?? those long arcs across multiple books, the crossovers, the slow-burn growth… that stuff altered my brain chemistry forever (since Addicted! 😌). it was so comic book–coded — the team-ups, the shared universe, the way we could live alongside these characters 🦸‍♀️💥 so not having that as the backdrop anymore has made me feel a bit… trepid? like my brain’s still living in that old continuity, if that makes sense 😅 so i was like: “okay, if i don’t go on Patreon but still support financially, maybe I can pretend it’s still the Marrow / Kitsuletti / Lunalley era.” 🤪 delulu central. population: me. anyway 🥹💌 just wanted to pop in and say hi, send some love, and let you know i’m still here — quietly rereading, still obsessed, still grateful. loads of love from an autumnal london 🍂🧣☕
