Is it painful as writers to write those scenes where charlie is hurting those he loves or hurting himself? Whenever I reread LLU my hearts feels like it’s being ripped out and don’t even get me started on chapter 40…I don’t know what crack you put into it 🫶😭 CLU is also another one where nearly every interaction with him feels like he’s suffocating and he has to take down everyone in his pass with him, including the reader. Does it ever feel that way when writing? xxx

Charlie is a polyglot and you’ve mentioned that the languages he isn’t fluent in he can get by well in. My question is, is Charlie fluent in Russian or can he just get by well? If he is fluent, has he traveled to Russia a lot? Is that a place that he likes to frequent? If so what does he like to do there?(asking because you know who is fluent in Russian😉😂)

Charlie has always had a tendency to run off. I am curious if he feels differently within the past couple books and with his new role as an uncle? Is this his opportunity to break his habits of running and could we see him take on more of a mentor roll within the family now that Moffy has a family? We have seen him *try* to start this roll with his brothers and Luna (success is up for debate). Is this is driving his character development or is there another reason?

Ooh yes, I think that’s the Hell’s Kitchen Moving In bonus! I was wondering what exactly changed from then to the ULU timeline, because even though he didn’t mind her moving in then and helped convince Lily and Lo, he also said something about not putting a squirrel in a lion’s den and that it was better that she didn’t move in. But in ULU it seems like he’d changed his mind and would rather Luna live in Hell’s Kitchen. So I was wondering why the change of opinion all of a sudden :D

In Unlucky like us when Farrow told Oscar to come and get his baggage, Luna said that hurt Charlie is it because he believes that's true or because he believes that's how Oscar feels. Is this a hint into Charlie insecurity? Did Farrow believe what he said or was it just a dig at Charlie to make him hurt?

In unlucky Beckett made his feelings clear on how he felt about Donnelly, basically he's not upset with Donnelly about the attack ( not blaming him) if iam wrong about this assumption please let me know. My question is if Charlie is aware of how much Beckett cares about Donnelly why would he say those things to Donnelly knowing that if word got back to Beckett on what he said he would be upset and hurt by it on Donnellys behalf. 2nd question Does Charlie truly believe those things deep down or was it in his twisted mind that saying those things would keep Luna far away from Donnelly. I feel as though he sees it as a weakness that he needs to conceal or others will see him as something he isn’t, if that makes sense? In the earlier books it really feels like he just doesn’t know who he is and that he doesn’t want to sway in directions that could be seen as ‘that’s what Connor would do’ or ‘that’s what maximoff would do.’

I think that sheds a lot of light on what he thinks about them :) My stance would be that he doesn’t think he’d be a good dad/good with children and a family. therefore he doesn’t want to want them. He’s got a very intriguing view of the world and himself which will be so much fun to explore :)

I was rereading some of WLU to see if I had any questions from that timeline and Banks says he got duped by Charlie regarding the oysters after Jack tells him that Charlie would have eaten anything. Which, honestly, is kind of funny, but is it true? Would Charlie consider Jack a friend, and vice versa, since Jack hangs around him so much because of his travel videography thing?

I actually interpreted that as “stay away from my family, you’ve already hurt my brother” sort of way . We see Charlie getting along with people for Beckett , we also see Both Rose and Connors anger towards Donnelly . I feel like Xanders reactions to things are way more valid. Being upset paparazzi is following you and having anxiety are valid. Attacking your family whos been nothing but nice to you because you need to lash out? A lot less valid in my opinion 😭 like I get being that smart and all is hard but I feel like its a bit too far. With Lo and Lily when they made bad decisions or fucked up or something you could empathize and understand because they had rough childhoods and rough early adulthoods and with xander he doesn’t lash out and be an asshole and disappear and have the if im upset im going to make someone around me upset too mindset hes just understandably upset but with charlie its like what do you have to be this upset about? You’re filthy rich can do whatever you want whenever you want have never had to worry about college or a job or any of that you just get to do whatever whenever and your family is amazing and loving and supportive even after you’re always an asshole to them it just strikes me as juvenile. Just because you are upset or frustrated or feeling any bad emotion doesn’t excuse you treating everyone around you like crap over and over and over again. I used to empathize with him a lot but after he was so rude to donnelly in unlucky and provoking farrow while baby Ripley was around I’ve stopped. He needs to grow up and apologize to a lot of people. I just don’t understand whats up with him which is why I asked that bc I used to love him so much but now im like this is getting old!!
