It’s cute that Megumi accepted Maki’s request once she mentioned Mai, he above anybody can relate to wanting to create a safe space for their sister.

this episode was fire! they were not holding back in the animation. Kinda reminded me of Kill Bill and the Bride where she slaughers all of the yakuza in the restuarant

Nadeem L

Jujutsu Gatling!! Lolll

Nadeem L

Great reaction, wild episode. Im guessing you guys didnt see Kill Bill? It's this wholesome movie about a bride. That scene where Maki was facing off against all the soldiers is basically inspired by a scene in Kill Bill

Soloydiver

After I watched the episode a few times, I realized that Mai created a new cursed object for Maki. It is the sword that both are holding when Maki wakes up and begins calling for Mai. Her gift that is probably now cursed with Mai's request to "Destroy it all."

HollowedSlayer

Not a fan of the music choice during some of the fights, country-esque harmonica and people singing la la la la kinda conflicts with the somber act of grieving your twin sister and genociding your clan. Animation was great but I can see why JP fans were not happy with this episode.

charlie

the punch to Naoya was a Bellamy reference lol

Garry

finally

Thanny

So was the one-inch punch, I'd wager.

Freeofgreed

Was waiting for this one! You guys picked up most of the nuances too.

winter

this episode was peak

Sanji Sama

Nayoa getting the Bellamy one punch treatment.

DaveJin

POWER POINT PRESENTATION ! XD nooooo cmon xd

DaveJin

So many moving parts each frame... crazy. ...Crazy crazy crazy...

Bryan Erickson

Awesome episode. No doubt. However, when did Maki become a steroid abusing raging psychopath? Guess I missed that arc?

M

You should really go back and re-watch the episode then because it was already very clearly explained. Twins are treated as the same person in jjk Mai gave up her life and took the little bit of cursed energy maki had with her when she died. This in turn fulfilled the heavenly pact and granted her the same abilities as Toji.

Matt Brock

Not to mention "steriods" 90% of the time we see her she is training or fighting, what is his guy talking about?

David

I frickin love the fact that Naoya died the way he said woman should when they dont behave, stabbed in the back

cooc

Maki "Walk 'em down" Zenin

Bryan Erickson

Her appearance is totally different than previous 2 seasons. And it didn’t just happen after Mai’s death. Not sure why it’s so strange to point out something obvious.

KIMBERLY OSBORN

This was a wild episode hands down. Maki became a total goat!

I believe another reason that Gojo was considered an accomplice to the Shibuya incident is cause instead of him using his full power or domain, he used it only for a fraction of second,(something like that lol) to save as many civilians as possible while killing those curses. Which led him losing a lot of stamina and letting his guard down; hence, him being sealed.

Hhdhd Gsgsy

My god the episode was enough dramatic on its own, think of it as celebrating a new Maki being born.

Bryan Erickson

Okay, 20 seconds into rewatching the episode it’s pretty clear the steroid/psychopath comment was out of pocket. I maintain she looks drawn different than previous seasons and not just the scars from her last fight, or her hair. Overall I was wrong.

charlie

go burn your entire body and tell me how much hair you have left

Bryan Erickson

Thanks, Charlie. I’ll pass on setting myself on fire to prove something I wasn’t referring to. Addressed it in another reply. Have a good day.

kavon lewin

Did I miss something about there being no more jjk? Or am I just blind?

Ben Asay

The way her dad died was from Kill Bill too.

Devon Joseph

I mean its a valid question, hyperbole aside she was not that jacked. I mean its obvious she went through a training arc in the time between seasons, which is fine, its just how ripped she became is the joke. Maki is 16 at this point and she looks like she aged up significantly.

Chris Jarrett

Maki IS HER. I'd been waiting for this episode since I read the manga chapter and boydid they not disappoint.

Chris Jarrett

oh wow, I never caught that!!!! Great comment!
