I've always hated using time travel in fiction because things just get too messy and you get incredibly contrived results. Oda tidied this issue up neatly by giving the Toki-Toki No Mi the power to only jump forwards in time and never backwards.

It features *kibi-dango* (millet dumplings), a traditional Japanese sweet that actually exists. The story follows a protagonist named Momotaro who defeats *ONI* (demons). And he gives *kibi-dango* (millet dumplings) to a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant, and together they defeat the ONI. And yes, that’s where the name "Momonosuke" comes from!

When Kinemon and Kanjuro arrived in Zou, Dogstorm and Cat Viper were in tears and said, "We've been expecting you..." --- they were actually waiting for them for 20 long years! Just superb writing from Oda.

You can think of the Wano arc as the crescendo to everything we have gone through post time skip. All your hype is valid, set your expectations as high as you want, and Oda will meet them. What you will go through in the Wano will redefine what you will consider as good writing and characters, storytelling, and to top it all off, TOEI did an incredible job which is IMO more than just the icing on the cake, but an enhancement.

Fun fact: The very first chapter of One Piece is titled “Romance Dawn — The Dawn of the Adventure.” 👀 And “Toki” means “time” in Japanese. Given how important time and inherited dreams are in One Piece, these words make for an interesting connection! ☠️🏴‍☠️

First-time commenter here, been along for the ride since you guys were still in THRILLER BARK!!! Crazy to think back to when I was crawling out of my skin waiting for you two to get to Marineford. Super love you (I LOVE) ladies and all the theorizing you’ve done. Been waiting so long for you to get to Wano, and NOW I can wait for you guys to get to Zoro’s big fight of this arc, then 1070! THEN THE NEXT ARC! Honestly, there’s so much to look forward to that I’m getting the feeling I did back when I was waiting for you guys to finish Marineford. Just antsy and giddy and wanting three episodes per video instead of two. Alas, I’d rather you go at your own pace, so I will be patient. But yeah, HUGE lore drops in this and the coming arcs that I am, almost literally, foaming at the mouth for you to get to. UGH! Can’t wait. Gimme. P.S. Love that you’re both finally seeing Luffy as a man now. Cracked me up good. Zoro’s my #1 tho, no question. Strong contenders for second are Luffy and Tra-guy tho. P.P.S. Well, it's technically also possible to travel to the future IRL, it's just more complicated than magic. So having a future-moving time travel is technically the most plausible thing we've seen from the series.
