Ugh I remember the anticipation and frustration with these episodes the first time I watched and it still hits hard lol. It really is such great writing! As entertaining as all their communication mishaps are, I’ve started thinking about how them knowing each other’s love languages would be so helpful to them probably lol. For example I feel Monica’s love language might be words of affirmation, so in moments like when Chandler is trying to get out of working out, he could have just left it at the encouragement part in saying how it’s great how much energy she has…he could have leaned into that more instead of crushing her soul 😭Because you’re right, he actually saw through the situation and could have really helped lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

I LOVED watching your reaction to Ross finding out and the kiss! That scene is ICONIC. It's literally on lists of most memorable TV moments. But knowing what would happen next I just knew how disappointed and frustrated you'd be. I feel you. It was a bit too good to be true to be honest but the list thing frustrates me so much. Chandler and Joey are good and loyal friends but they give TERRIBLE advice. And Ross was stupid to go along with it. I thought it was ridiculous how Rachel found out too. Also, while I get it's for the comedy effect, I still find it hilariously annoying that Rachel doesn't realise Ross meant "she's not RacheL" instead of "she's not RacheM". Like come on! Btw, there is a deleted scene where Ross and Julie go get a cat in the shelter and Ross freaks out: https://youtu.be/w9C9_RUhBsY The show just gets better and better from now on, but I don't wanna spoil anything so just keep watching!

I love your face during these reactions… PRICELESS!! It was also fun hearing your intro about R&R knowing what happens in the episodes. 😜 I don’t think you realized that there was no audience reaction to the initial kiss. They actually cleared the live audience for that scene to keep it secret. Then in the next episode when they finally embrace before she finds the list, the audience went crazy. This show is so good at showing the male and female perspectives. When they kissed at the coffee shop, the girls made a huge thing about Rachel telling them about it when the guys were only interested in if there was tongue involved. And then again with the advice that Chandler and Joey gave Ross and we know Monica would’ve given him such better advice.

The list friction is a curious one because in a certain way, it makes sense. We have our own mental lists of pros and cons about people we like. It's rare we're in the same situation of having to list them out so specifically, because who winds up in a situation like that, with two women madly in love with you at the same time & having to pick between them?

After all these years, I still think what they did to Julie was so messed up. It’s crazy how the audience encouraged straight up cheating. I admit I never cared for Ross/Rachel because of this.
