Hello, this is Redspike.

I’ve released the 1.1.2 hotfix to fix the save issues that came up after the recent 1.1 update.

The problem was that some save data from older versions wasn’t carrying over properly when it was loaded and saved in the newer version.

To fix this, I changed the save system so the game can properly detect older save data and move it over to the new save location.

While working on the previous hotfixes, I was trying to fix the issue without fully understanding how GZDoom handles save data. Because of that, similar problems ended up happening more than once.

I’m really sorry for all the inconvenience caused by these repeated hotfixes.

I was honestly getting pretty discouraged as the problems kept coming up, but everyone who reported issues, helped with testing, and kept sending kind messages and support really helped me keep going.

I’m very grateful to everyone who continued to help me, especially since these problems were caused by my own mistakes.

From now on, I’ll be more careful to check not only the problem itself, but also what caused it and how the system works before pushing an update.

Also, DLsite reviews every update before it goes live, so 1.1.2 may arrive there a little later than on other platforms.

Once again, I’m sorry for the trouble, and thank you so much to everyone who keeps playing Nakara and supporting the game.

Thank you!

I know lot of old engines can caused some difficult and annoyed issues that are hard to conquer , hope you won't felt too distress by it, expecting your new content in future!

Hey Redspike, just went to check the 1.1.2 hotfix on Linux and it is unfortunately still crashing after clicking "Game Start". I can hear the music in the background, so it's loading the audio at least, but I'm still getting the GZDoom Very Fatal Error window. The summary section shows an "Integer Divide By Zero" error, though without seeing the code myself it would be difficult or impossible to track down the exact issue. I know development work can be pretty tough at times, but please let me know if there's anything I can do to help! (Sending log files, testing a hotfix on Linux, etc.) EDIT: So apparently the game crashes on Linux when "OpenGL" is set as the Preferred Rendering API in Video settings, but changing it to "Vulkan" and quitting the game then relaunching seems to have fixed it! Wondering if it's due to a quirk with the newer version of GZDoom, but at least it's working now!

Hi. Version 1.1.2 doesn't load save from 1.0.2 in my case. Maybe im doing something wrong, but what should I do for it to load, and is there is a way to do it manualy?

Redspike523

Yes, you can transfer it manually. If you are moving your save from version 1.0 to 1.0.2, first check your old game folder for a file named: gzdoom-USERNAME.ini If you find it, copy that file into the new 1.1.2 game folder and then start the game. If your old 1.0 to 1.0.2 version was installed inside Program Files or Program Files (x86), the save file may instead be here: %APPDATA%\GZDoom\gzdoom.ini Version 1.1.2 should normally detect that file automatically, but if it still doesn’t work, please let me know. After the save is transferred successfully, the new save file will be stored here: Documents\My Games\Nakara\nakara.ini Sorry for the trouble!

Do you know when Denpasoft will receive the latest update? It currently still downloads v1.0.2
