Happy Friday!
We just wrapped up another 5-Minute+ Friday live session, and I am still buzzing from the energy! These quick warm-ups are quickly becoming my favorite part of the week. It is such a great way to let go of perfectionism and just let the paint move.
In today's session, we explored two very different vibes:
Vibrant Pink Florals: Focusing on high-pigment energy and loose, splattered edges to keep things fresh and exciting.
Atmospheric Mini Landscape: Using a more muted palette to create depth, reflection, and that misty "Maine look" we all love—complete with a few distant birds for scale.
The Lesson of the Day: You don’t need an hour to create something meaningful. Sometimes, all it takes is five minutes and a few pans of paint to reset your creative brain.

Your Challenge: Grab two small pieces of paper and try both of these styles today. Don't set a timer for the painting itself—just focus on the feel of the brush.
I’d love to see your 5-minute studies in our community gallery!
Which one did you find easier to get "loose" with—the florals or the landscape?
Happy Painting!
