5 Minute Friday: Easy Hummingbird 🎨 (Patreon)

Hi friend! As a special treat for our free members, I’m unlocking this quick, cozy project so you can get a taste of what we’re creating inside The Studio LIVE!

This 6-minute tutorial features a vibrant hummingbird packed with loose splashes, soft color blends, and playful feather textures. It looks detailed, but I promise it's much easier than it appears—making it a perfect relaxing session or quick warm-up before tackling a larger piece.

In this quick lesson, we’ll practice: ✨ Loose wet-into-wet techniques

✨ Layering bright colors for rich depth

✨ Soft feather textures with simple brushstrokes

✨ Fun splatter effects for a whimsical finish

(Plus, I’ve included the printable traceably sketched outline below so you can dive right in without stress!)

Don't worry about perfection—the magic of watercolor lives in those spontaneous blooms, splashes, and happy accidents.
