With that reminder taken care of, today it's time for the second Displaced Hero release of the month! While it may only be two chapters, they are hefty ones, amounting to just shy of 10,500 words. Which brings the total word count for the month almost exactly on target :-).

Izuku deals with politics, and we peek in on what quite a few others have been up to. Much of which sets the stage for the next major arc/confrontation, which will thankfully be more space battle than the ground slog of Geonosis. It's also set to happen on a much more fun-to-visit world, so it won't be all battle, either ;-). Still, that's for next month, for now enjoy the setup and the many perspectives included.

The image, by the by, is to represent Vy...who is the former Governor of Tythe and current Chairman/Chairwomen of the Council of Free Stars. She's been mentioned off-hand several times, but chapter 147 is the first time we see actual interaction with her, so I figured an image to go along with that was appropriate! While she's a Twi'lek, I wanted to go with one of their more common colors for her, instead of a Rutian like Aayla, which is the second rarest (with red being the rarest of all, if I remember correctly).

As always, new stuff is attached to the post. Also, since this is the last update of Displaced Hero for July, I will be updating the Master Files in the pinned post shortly. Chapter 146: A/N 1: So, poor Vy has been handling all the political stuff Izuku ignored to go play fleet commander, and she has WORDS about that ;-). I also used this as a chance to address, in-story, something I've replied to a lot of people on the topic of before. Specifically, Izuku having a family. The MAJORITY of the reason I'm not writing that is that it always complicates the hell out of a story, slowing everything down as you have to work around the kid while still representing that they are a major part of life now. That said, another chunk it is just flat out the personalities involved don't really...line up right. Padmé is legitimately the only one of his lovers I can see actually wanting kids, while also being genetically compatible. I could see Shaak maybe wanting them, if they were, but they've been established as incompatible in at least the EU. A/N 2: Padmé and her handmaidens, on the other hand, gave me a chance to sketch out a little more depth to how the League functions on a political level. As she observes, it isn't perfect...because there isn't such a thing. The League is at least a bit more functional than the Republic, though. As well as a bit more direct, because of the personalities involved. Most of whom didn't start life as politicians. A/N 3: Honestly, I feel bad that I haven't included as much time with Mei for Izuku as the others have gotten. If I hadn't already done a lemon fairly recently, I might have extended this interaction. As it was, I at least wanted him to stop in and spend a bit of time with her...

Chapter 147: A/N 1: Bail the miracle worker! He's sort of got the Republic working! Kinda...partially...a little bit... A/N 2: Ah ha! Finally seeing where the situation at Onderon is going... A/N 3: I don't really care for Anakin, but I know a lot of people want to see what he's getting up to, so I figured I could throw in a bit from him. Honestly, I think he'll be better off in this role. He was never really a leader by choice, only necessity, and mostly on a tactical level... A/N 4: Oh dear...but there is the OTHER side of what's going on around Onderon... A/N 5: I debated with myself for quite a long time on Ahsoka and Shaak Ti. Handing her to Shaak as a Padawan introduces a complication that will be a little annoying...but it also fits. Though the first one of you who even SUGGESTS the idea she would end up in the pairing is going to Horny Jail. She's only 15 and they are all in their mid to late twenties at this point...

I actually left her out on purpose, as Izuku himself mentally skipped her, shying away from the horrifying idea of what would happen to the galaxy if Mei had pregnency mood swings. ;-)

You should do a pairing for ahsoka but it should be for example zarva taking an apprentice and everyone immediately panicking only for ahsoka and said apprentice to hit it off immediately. Everyone calms down as the think that means that ahsoka and shaak will be acting as good influences only for the panicking to immediately return as shaak so exhausted from wrangling the three of them points them to a cis world no one cares about and promptly collapses on her bed for like a week refusing to get up. It is a this point that everyone realises that this battle is now apparently a date for ahsoka and her new love interest with zarva who while meant to be the chaperone is just sitting back watching the chaos unfold and cackling. Only stepping in when they are actually in danger.

LMAO, Mei should get a shirt that says "my-middle-name-is-War-Crimes" also, i think shaak ti and asohka is a great fit, with the only question being how asohka will take finding out that her master is quite intimate with several other people. not that asohka should take part, but more that having a teenager around will make things more awkward

Yeah, it will be a little more awkward to create lewd time with Shaak Ti. But, honestly, Shaak seems like a better fit for Ahsoka than Plo Koon would have been, and since Anakin hasn't been Knighted yet he's obviously off the table. I suppose I could have just not drawn attention to her at all, but she IS a good character. Honestly probably the best addition that came out of the various Cartoon series.

I always love seeing this story getting updated. It's probably why I've been getting back into starwars content after the cluster fuck of the Disney take over. I'm glad Snips is also getting included as a supporting character, especially since I've been rewatching the animated series. On that note, I can't wait to see the father, son, and daughter try and poke their noses in Izuku's business and likely get force fed (heh) some humble pie.

Good update, nice check in on the state of affairs at the moment. I'm especially enjoying this version of Dooku, and I like having him as the primary POV in the CIS. Also, the thought of Zavra becoming the definitive public face of the Sith is hilarious, as is Rana digging through the superweapon reports and quietly going "what the fuck?" Moving forward, I'm interested to see how Ahsoka develops with a very different master and support network, and I'm curious whether Tann is going to become a recurring antagonist or go down over Kashyyyk (or a secret third option). Thanks as always

Just a couple edits this time: there's an "archelogy" instead of "archeology," and Dooku describes Bonteri "being in our employee" instead of "in our employ."

Yes… YES! YESSSSSSSS!!! AHSOKA TANO HAS ARRIVED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! She is, by far, my favorite SW character. I love her and the introduction that was made in the animated film and series of the Clone Wars. Along with the others too of course! My heart fucking BROKE and tears were SHED when the Council turned their backs on her and basically tossed her to the wolves. I fucking respect Plo Koon for standing in front of Ahsoka and having the balls to apologize directly and genuinely to her. For that, I’ll give him a pass in this regard. It was better than Yoda’s collective regret. But the others? Saying it was a test of the Force for her Knight Trials? Never had I been so hateful and disgusted against such an injustice. What hurts most is Obi-wan…he said nothing. NOTHING. …What I’ve always, ALWAYS, hoped for…is that his silence means that he feels shame and failure over the Councils decision and his own part in it. That he accepts her pain and won’t make any excuses for himself. Because if that’s the case…then that’s exactly in character for him and I can excuse it. And I WANT to. *Takes deep breath before letting it out.* …Apologizes for my rambling. Considering what she’s been through…Ahsoka deserved better and I KNOW that can happen here in your story Novus. I'm not sure Ahsoka is my absolute favorite, but I will said that she's 120% the best character that came out of the cartoons. In fact, she's basically the whole reason to watch them at all! So I fully intend on attempting to give her a happier ending :-). As always, thanks for the edits!
