Damn. I’m disappointed to hear that about Wake up Dead Man. I just happened across that one the other week ago and added it to my list. The other two (knives out) were, in my opinion, solid films. Would re watch.

I fucking hated Wake Up Dead Man. They spend minutes developing two priest characters really well only to drop 5 characters in one narrator’s line. Selena Gomez has absolutely no role - she’s a cop who doesn’t investigate, and declares it unsolvable before even getting an autopsy. Blanc doesn’t show until 2/3 thru and you’ll wish he hadn’t. They made him into a lame stereotype of a 2000s fedora-tipping atheist. It really shows that Netflix made this movie: it follows the “exposition all the time” memo to a fucking T. Furthermore, the “plot twist” is stupid because the impotent priest’s plan makes no sense and would likely result in him dying and shitting his pants in his coffin. Even Christians wouldn’t buy this man as fucking Jesus. The first knives out is nearly flawless, the second was okay but should have been the last. My god I fucking hated Go to Sleep, Dead Man.
