They don't make trash like they used to. I remember back when this series started, it was full of shows with batshit concepts, absurd plot twists, and the like. It was hilarious! Now, it's all just... slop. It's honestly hard to pay attention as Geoff goes off describing yet another show about protag-kun showing off and getting revenge as he gets super OP or whatever.

Some youtuber recommended the 29 year old anime be he said it was really funny. I said il looked cute and might give it a try if it was "wholesome sibling adventures" and no "oh no step-bro, im stuck" glad to know i can Usagi Drop-Kick it off of a cliff before I pick it up

I hate to defend a 'mid' anime, but you keep harping on "I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!" as THE prime example of the male MC interacting with a harem half his age. (At least three times IIRC.) However, the MC in that anime is twenty years old, and 3 of his 5 harem members are older than him. The 'official' waifu (blue hair) is older than him. The catgirl is older than him and the girl from the A-rank party is older than him. Even with the redhead being almost 3 years younger, I'm not sure that it makes a great example of the age gap you are criticizing.

The start & ending bits about your new investor from the last menu/video were top notch! The only one of these I'm watching is Bean-Counter, which is a nice story and I appreciate the explicitly intimate BL bits, but I have to watch it on x1,25-1,5 speed to get through the stuff in between. I'm glad I wasn't wrong in being so annoyed by Akarin in Rom-Com. One of very few times I actually dropped an anime because she was just too annoying. That said, I am shocked you don't like any of the girls in Midnight Heart. I find them all quite adorable, but then again, maybe it's because of exactly what you said and I just like the tropes. But, you are 100% right that Protag-kun is 100% the star of that show and is probably only outpaced by Rentaro as King Chad.

Hell Mode slipped a little when they introduced these summoning stones which, if the isekai world in the series were a video game, would be the main microtransaction item. Having microtransaction style items isn’t the biggest issue since he is playing on Hell Mode, but I don’t buy the idea that he wouldn’t be complaining to the “mods” like he was earlier in the series. Like, they put up an arbitrary barrier between him and the summoning which requires the addition of a reality bending mechanic like the infinite void that only he can access just so he can carry the millions of summoning stones that he needs around with him. Tell me that doesn’t sound like a terribly designed video game where the developers suddenly had to nerf a character for being too OP but couldn’t think of a diegetic reason to do so, and we’re expected to believe this seasoned gamer just took that in his stride?
