As the second ever Mavis Gary (after Charlize who did her little Annette presentation last weekend), I feel stung by a jellyfish! I can taste the saltwater!

An addition to the Great Bad Wigs list: Julia Roberts’ Shelby-gets-a-haircut wig in Steel Magnolias!

Quick shout out to Chris Feil! You are a wonderful guest co-host on And The Runner Up Is podcast episode for 1995 Best Actress. Could listen to you and Kevin talk about all of these performances all day :)

Cannot co-sign the popcorn and Reese’s pieces combo enough—it’s a perfect salty/sweet mashup.

Clint

agreed with chris’s reservations about popcorn and reese’s pieces…but popcorn and raisinets 👏 💯

I like a wider array of options at concessions - being able to order a small pizza or what have you is nice...but I rarely actually go with anything more food-like, partly because I don't want to draw out a wait time, partly because the movies is just the space for popcorn & soda, occasionally a candy, for me. The dine-in theater thing seems nicer than it ends up being to me - relaying an order and then dealing with the check and the card and the signing and that whole bit, and all the while with a flashlight (and in my own case, a magnifier, because I have low vision) and trying not to bug anyone, it just winds up being kind of pesky for that environment.

Our local art house (ish, I mean they also show bigger studio movies) movie theatre serves entire pizzas, Brussels sprout bowls, mac & cheese, cocktails, etc. It becomes a stinky smorgasbord of smells. However, there is something comforting about watching people (and being among them) consuming an entire dinner like they are at home. I've done a tea and popcorn combo, wine and popcorn, hot dog and beer, ice cream... but in the end, plain old popcorn is always my movie jam.

This evening, I too watched Interview With The Vampire while tipsy, and it was AWESOME! I snuck in some red wine and every time blood was sucked on screen, I had a swig!

Seems like the current call-in number is down. Anyone know if Chris and Joey are bringing this back?
