We tap into your call-in questions for a quick discussion on the Oscar chances for Dune Part 2 (in a season surprisingly loaded with Oscar-y sequels) and festival films we have seen that have never received US distribution! Hit us up with your calls at 614-683-8944!

I can confirm that Allelujah was released in the UK and the grey-hairs showed up en masse (for context it did slightly better than The Fabelmans for box office here). I had a similar reaction to the ending as you guys (and disliked it on the whole, Judi Dench’s iPad innocent), but there was at least one person in my row SOBBING at the end while I sat with a blank expression 😐

I always remember seeing a Belgian film while volunteering for the Cork Film Festival in the 00s ("Get Born" the Wayback Machine tells me) in the afternoon and I always remember the lights going up and the only other attendee was the lead actress.

From this year’s TIFF, I was shocked to learn that MOTHER, COUCH got distribution recently. Still keeping track of GONZO GIRL…

Steve from Connecticut here! Thanks Joe and Chris for answering my question! I loved listening to your responses and re-sparking the classic Chalamet Wars between you 2 lol. Listening to Chris go off about Lea Seydoux was quite the treat though so you're welcome fellow Garys 😊

remember frankie and alice? premiered at afi fest in 2010, halle berry got a golden globe nod…and then the movie disappeared and didn’t get released on VOD until spring 2014. even after watching the trailer and seeing it available to stream on amazon prime and tubi, i’m still not convinced that it actually exists…

Team Joe re Timmy in Dune, I think it's an incredible performance! And Charlotte Rampling's line reading of 'ABOMINATION!' at the end as she's capture or whatever is Supporting Actress-worthy in itself.

Re: that David Oyelowo film, Hari Kondabalu has an bit in his Netflix special about Oyelowo cracking a rib of his during filming and then the entire scene being cut

Anyone else love Javier Bardem in Dune 2? He’s my pick for supporting actor.

Maida Paxton

Back when I was subbing elementary school, I encountered a third grader dressed up as Paul Atreides. They just wore their normal clothes and carried around a box with the word pain taped on it. So there ARE kids under 13 getting something out of Dune (though, to be fair, this was a very precocious kid)

Javier Bardem gang rise up!!! Lisan Al Giab never said in the same way again

Dune Part 2 made me finally get Austin Butler on all levels. As an actor and as a very hot man. the yassified Powder lewk works on him GOOD!
