I see both hosts are carmull people

"'Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town' is the objective best one, we're in agreement on this, right?" So...YES, it is indeed! Been MY stance forever, yet I so rarely hear that. I'm so NOT into "and that's the origin o' that" business, and "SCICTT" (as the kids call it) is soooooo much "and that's the origin o' that" prequel-y business...but it's a delight all over the place, what else can I say! Anyway, playing Cinematrix and listening to a new THOB Mailbag, I've had shabbier mornings.

100% on board for Chris's 10 Commandments of Award Shows!

Can confirm watching the substance with mom was a mistake, although I put it on as an attempted distraction from the election results and that really could have impacted our moods going in

Stephanie Radcliffe

Debbie Allen praise hands of thanks to Joe and Chris for answering my question. Loved your answers! I submit Spike Lee as the next Oscar-winner who deserves a Kennedy Center Honor. Ariana Debose could do the thing at the ceremony (the thing being Rosie Perez's "Do the Right Thing" dance).

The HFPA changing their name is basically like a Resteraunt that had an ecoli outbreak shutting down for a week and reopening “under new management”

Okay, I'm listening to the "red flag movie" question at the moment, and I'll say, a great friend of mine loves THE BOONDOCK SAINTS, might be among his favorite movies - and he's not the kind of person who'd be conjured in your mind when I bring up someone who has THE BOONDOCK SAINTS as one of their maybe-favorite movies (I suppose I mean "not a Bro of the Joe Rogan set"), so...all types are defied at times. I was okay with the movie, but it was not quite my tempo (and hard to embrace after watching the doc OVERNIGHT, honestly).

Rob Watson

Not the Cis-Siberian Orchestra! 🤣🤣🤣

re the survivor talk: this is why i was a big fan of the reba 4 in 45 - a group of people who realized that being loyal to one another and actually working together was the best move for them to get to the end

aladsto

I’ve found that chocolate discussion so confusing - most of those chocolates have different names in the UK (or don’t exist at all!).

CK Anderson

Shouting from the rooftops because you all answered my question You both make great points - Take 5 is objectively the best, but there are few things more satisfying than a Snickers Also, the new “red flag” movie that’s been co-opted by the worst dudes on the internet is 1000% “American Psycho”. If a college-aged guy tells me how much they love that movie I am running in the opposite direction

Kelsey

I still think Conclave could sneak up as the consensus Picture pick although I don't know if Berger has the gravitas or auteur stamp that the Academy would respond to. It was treated as an outrage when Denis was snubbed, but Berger's didn't really rise to that.

Jenny Maurer

John waters kennedy center honors would rock btw I’d kinda want one for husker du and the replacements?

MJ

“Casted” is such a pet peeve of mine because it *sounds* unnatural. How do people convince themselves that’s a word? But Joe’s right about “texted.”

Neva Winkle

What is "the man with the bag?"

Sam Warner

Thank you for answering my question 😘. That made my day!!!

Pella's Window

That opening bit is a thing that is now part of my emotional landscape.

Seán Diver

I don't know why the Oscar gays and Survivor gays venn diagram overlaps so much, but I'm here for it.

Chrissy

OT but Joe must be loving the Demi Amy video of Actors on Actors where they go into sibling relationships

Jamesconrad

I just need to say. Juror #2 is a terrible movie. There’s no conspiracy about burying it.

Hayden Claborn

A red flag for me is The Wolf of Wall Street, depending on the person. Like my best friend loves that movie, and Dragged Across Concrete for that matter, and has valid reasons why. But there is a certain type of person who loves that movie that I don’t want to be around.

Molly Fromkin

Joe! You have to try the new diet 7Up Shirley Temple flavor! It’s so good!

Reed mikkelsen

Hey, I work for Special Forces, which is gull of ex Boondock Saints fans. As far as I can surmise, the new Boondocks are; Joker, 300, Bone Tomahawk

Reed mikkelsen

Oh and Joe, I fully get your distain for American Sniper, but after watching it with my wife, she said it was the only movie to capture the effect of multiple combat tours on veterans and their families. Most war movie take place in war, or after war, maybe even before, during, and after 1 tour. Rarely do you see the modern deployment cycle of going over and over. Only American Sniper got it right

Dusty Meatballs

Candy: you didn’t mention my two fave fun size, 100,000$ bar and Krackle

Beatriz Izumino

Hey, thanks for answering my question! What I'm getting from it is: if we're going to get Fernanda's campaign to stick through posting alone, we gotta steal Frances Fisher from Winslet.

Clint

will not stand for the raisinets and buncha crunch erasure re: movie theater candy…

Ruan Felipe

Here's what I mostly want from the 100th: graphic design introducing the montages like the 2015-Birdman year! And use that score!

Faith Hicks

As a longtime Survivor watcher who's a little frustrated with the current state of the game, I always enjoy your discussions of it. I absolutely agree about the show's need to recruit more interesting players! From your lips to Jeff's ears.
