Usually, I am all in with the awards talk and following all the predictions and I feel ho-hum about it this year. I'm not sure why. Curious if others feel this way? I will absolutely be voting here. Just wish my excitement level for awards season was higher. Can't quite put my finger on this reason just yet.

Since they announced that the 2025 ceremony will again feature 5 previous winners presenting the acting categories, I decided to make some guesses at the possible lineups. Some of these are predictions, some are wishes, and some are me just throwing a dart against the wall. Chime in with your own choices! Actor in a Leading Role Adrien Brody — Cillian Murphy Timothée Chalamet — Jeff Bridges (chaotic alternate: Rami Malek) Colman Domingo — Tom Hanks or Denzel Washington Ralph Fiennes — Colin Firth Sebastian Stan — Robert De Niro (chaotic alternate: Jon Voight) Actress in a Leading Role Cynthia Erivo -- Renée Zellweger Karla Sofía Gascón — Marion Cottilard Mikey Madison — Emma Stone Demi Moore -- Cher Fernanda Torres — Meryl Streep Actor in a Supporting Role Yura Borisov — Jared Leto Kieran Culkin — Michael Caine (unlikely since I don't think Caine travels to the US anymore, but it'd be a Cider House Rules reunion) Edward Norton — Brad Pitt Guy Pearce — Robert Downey Jr. Jeremy Strong — Mark Rylance Actress in a Supporting Role Monica Barbaro — Catherine Zeta-Jones Ariana Grande — Da'Vine Joy Randolph Felicity Jones — Alicia Vikander Isabella Rossellini — Laura Dern Zoe Saldaña — Ariana DeBose

Do we go by US 2024 release dates? Specifically wondering about La Chimera.

Ugh... really?.I loved the old school way of showing clips as the nominees are announced. It gives you a reminder of why they were nominated. LAME! LOL

Am I the only Gary scrambling to catch up on all the films from last year that I haven't seen because I've sought escapism in films from decades past?

Well damn…I put in my ballot earlier thinking I wasn’t gonna have time to watch another movie tonight, but I did…and it was NO OTHER LAND, and holy shit I wish it was on my list now.
