The first time I heard Frankie Valli was almost certainly "Grease," but after that, it would've been through the inclusion of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" in CONEHEADS - and I think the version in that movie is a cover, but just the same, when I hear that song, I think of CONEHEADS (which is a movie I have more time for than most, but I can't deny that some of that is '90s-kid brain-rot). That's the Frankie Valli song I have legit affection for, but I'll still probably go for the Lauryn Hill version most days.

Belatedly jumping in here after listening to the ep to say that I've taken my mom (who is a huge fan of the stage show, not so much the movie) to see John Lloyd Young's cabaret show twice! He is indeed still cashing in on the Jersey Boys brand and performing concerts. His one story from shooting the film is that apparently Clint Eastwood brought Justin Timberlake to set one day to psych him out.
