I just got to the part about people talking about A24 movies like they’re all made by one person and had to share this: When I saw Friendship I overheard a guy say to his girlfriend, “I liked it but I thought there’d be some kind of supernatural twist. A24 movies usually have one.” The mental facepalm I did hearing that, good lord.

Ask yourself: Are ANY of us strong enough to take the Geffen logo paired with the Focus Features hum? It is indeed an underrated nostalgia object logo, and totally affixed to the eerie opening strains of "Day-O" for me. I definitely got a kick/a laugh out of seeing it up top in BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE, and I definitely felt silly for that, but...I am but human.

Literally nodding my head and going "Right on" at Feil's A24 - or The Way Some Talk About A24 - bit, because...I get enthusiasm for a company with some range to what they put out while we still have it operating in a respectable way, but...people can be a little much and A24 IS a company that makes its (sometimes few) priorities known with their distribution.
