It's the last piece of the puzzle! In this finale we take a look at the entire process from start to end, focusing on specific turning points and key moments.Importantly, this is also an announcement call for viewer submissions, specific to those who've decided to follow along the painting process. I'd love to see your results and review them if so you wish. You can send in your submissions here, they close at the end of May -I very much look forward to reviewing them!

Thank you so much as always for your warm support, and the process breakdowns that are upcoming soon (for recent works)!

Hello, thank you for your work! I have a question about a submission event, can you send your work if you wasn't following along the real-time painting series ? Or is it only for the people that did 😅 ? And also if I had already submitted my work in the first round of this event, can I send more for this one ? It's my first time in this kind of event so I don't want to do something wrong, thanks :)

That is a good question! It's difficult to be specific and say use X color X saturation X value at this time, etc. The reason is that every color is relative to others - so it's more about: Skin is redder than non red things, but less so compared to a fire extinguisher, sunny day shadows are bluer than non sunny day ones, brown hair is browner than black hair, etc. There is no "correct" answer for an exact color, but the relative relationship is very important! I always recommend Framed Ink because it sets an excellent foundation for managing light and shadow :) Thank you again for your question.

Sure thing! It's not a super strict event at all, it's just so that everyone has a chance to submit if they want to, so please feel free :)

I always wondered why you didn't go with the towel, I thought it was tying everything together. Thanks for this amazing recap and your own thoughts on it. It was a very cool series 👍

Great question! I think while thematically very on point, it disrupted the flow a little from the character's waist to arm to elbow. So in the end I felt the composition could work better without it!
