What an insane time jump

Constantin Freudenthaler

The one on the dragon was Ser Laenor Velarion, son of the Seasnake. Since his mother (Rhaenys) is a Targaryen, he gets to be a dragonrider. His dragon is called Seasmoke.

Since it was mentioned this episode, that the Velaryons are the richest house in the realm. The show doesn't quite emphazise this, but Corlys is actually a legendary seafarer who in his seven journeys singlehandedly made his relatively small house richer than house Lannister during his lifetime. Personally I really like the actor and his portrayal of Corlys, but the show has so much to tell, that it kinda glosses over what a legend Corlys is.

The league was used in Ancient Rome, defined as 1 1/4 Roman miles. (7500 Roman feet or 3 miles 4.83 kilometers

I personally think your interpretation of the meetings of Alicent and the were correct. I do think she did enjoy their conversations. Now that you've seen more of their relationship maybe you'll come back to your original conclusion!

This is 100% how kings would hunt. This is what GRRM wanted for Robert's hunt, but it wasn't in GOT's S1 budget.
