This is exactly why community is so important, sometimes our self-doubts can cloud our ability to see our value. Having community in vulnerability like The Paris Gang makes all the difference. I'm curious about that too.. The whole concepts of head boy, class president, common rooms, prom queens & kings, cheerleaders.. All of that, are non existent in the Netherlands. I never missed them at all though. But I only know of their existence from stories & films / series. I do have some idea though.

In many schools, Sixth Formers are given their own areas/buildings within the school, and are treated slightly differently (less supervision, different uniform or no uniform, etc). It's treated like a sort of transition period between school life and university life!

With all this focus on the Head Boy campaign, it makes me wonder who Charlie will run against. You would think there will be at least one student we know to make it interesting. I would rule out any Paris Squad members and think Christian, Sai and Otis are unlikely...Harry? Would these events lead to the detente we witness in the Nick and Charlie novella?

I love the particular way they each sit while eating in the 3rd panel...these details fit their personalities so much! Aled is all criss cross (does his own thing but always quietly attentive), Tao is split between one leg bent and one propped up (tough on the outside and the best kind of loyal bff there is), Charlie's are bent but not TOO tightly drawn up like he used to do (he's speaking his anxiety instead of holding it in!!), and Nick is relaxed with both legs out (I'm all good, I'm so proud of my boyfriend, and also always ready to remind Char how awesome he is). Plus, having second (or twentieth!) thoughts about a big decision is so natural, and I love how they remind Charlie about WHY he decided to apply in the first place. You can almost see the confidence coming back to Charlie in that last close up of him...his trusting eyes, his lifting chin, his "I'm listening" mouth...It's not a mistake, Charlie!

A room where you can chill when you have a free period or break. It’s mostly only for higher years like in this case sixth form. In Germany it’s also common for the equivalent of sixth form.
