The scene of Charlie by himself reminds of one of the very early drawings of all the bullies around him in vol 1, wether Nick imagines that's or maybe everyone cheering him on I feel he is going to picture Charlie some way. Not Sarah, but Nick or David may have made choice not to see each other much. His Dad said he would try harder to be involved in vol 4 and Nick said it had to be more than words. Just wondering how things have evolved since that dinner. We know David was still a dick in This Winter.

Well, first of all, Charlie totally has the best hair of all the candidates so he is definitely going to win😊 And sweet, kind, caregiving Nick...I love the way how we see the panel with only the back of Charlie, laser focused on his goal, is now smaller than the close-up of Nick in panel 4. It's a subtle but powerful shift of their balance back to Nick. They've been learning they can be connected AND also be independent, together. Now, we see stars in his eyes as Nick proudly watches Charlie reach for his dreams, but there is also a sense of longing behind those eyes...what are Nick Nelson's dreams for himself? They are in there, softly pushed behind all of the love, patience, and genuine care he gives everyone else, especially his favorite person❤️ Your time is coming, Nick...well, after a (hopeful!) celebration for a very deserving winner!

I would not go back and be a teenager again. So much happens that feels so so so so big. Whatever would be going through their heads could be such a vast variety of emotions, feelings and relationship angst. I do get a kick out of each of the panels because generally I see the panel as the comic first and then my brain sees them as the actors from the series. Joe's adorable face whose eyes light up and the way that Kit has the ability to act with such a wide variety of facial expressions... it's a 2 for 1 experience that I get to enjoy each day one is posted.
