If they could freeze time, I think it would be precisely stopped at the exact moments captured in the middle two panels. Nick is recharging (in the midst of a dance party!) to recover from his wandering thoughts on the sofa🥹, and Charlie is literally glowing with a “god, could I love Nick any more” half smile…like even though he KNOWS they are together and in love, sometimes he still can’t believe it😍 I think back about how they used to have to be a “secret”, and now, look at them!! They feel safe and comfortable and are so in love that they aren’t even aware of anyone else in the room, and can dance and hold and hug and flirt to their heart’s desire. It’s a beautiful love, it’s a beautiful queer love, and it’s just the sweetest thing. (Oh…I do think the only thing in that room that Nick will worry about is finding his horse before he leaves, lol. As a proper cowboy should🤠🥰)
