I love how we get a build up with the first 3 panels kind of stacking up on each other...from Charlie's delightfully charming first inset panel (somehow Alice managed to capture him looking both so innocent and so amorous here!), to seeing not their feet but their legs moving closer to each other (just sets a different tone, but softly!), to the gentle hand on Nick's shoulder (like Charlie is clearly raising Nick's heart rate!)...and then, the sparkles and the sparkly border and the actual way *whisper* is written, to Nick's pupils going all 🌟🌟 when HE hears what Charlie says...I love how we get this build, but the details are THEIRS...it models (again) how beautiful and fun sex (especially queer sex) between partners can be, but also gives boundaries for a healthy respect and space for the characters. And there is something about that last picture that looks like a glimpse of younger Nick and Charlie, but also with a more mature lens. All so beautifully done❤️

It's so cute seeing this kind of teenage confidence in queer kids. This is the kind of love and knowing of a partner that comes from really knowing a person and it's so rare to see it represented in LGBTQ love.. and I say love because this sort of thing is so so often represented in heavy, drugged out, random stranger encounters, which is one kind of intimacy but there is so much more. Showing hot, fun, playful, naughty hook ups between long term loving partners, is so wholesome and also very realistic and part of loving. It's so nice to see the sexiness validated, because so often it's just presented as meaningless casual sex or drab boring monogamy, and neither is really true for many LGBTQ people who have loving fulfilling and fun relationships 💖 once again Alice, thank you so much for the loving representation of us all ❤️
