The thing I love about heartstopper is that the artwork and themes have grown up with the characters. I never thought we’d get a panel like today with the belt, but it of course makes so much sense and it’s why heartstopper will always be one of my favourite things to read. It’s not stagnant, it’s not stuck in the vol1 fluffy feels, it moves and grows and it’s fucking wonderful🥹✨❤️

Because we read page by page we tend to overanalize frame without putting it in its general context. Consent has been asked twice, very enthusiastic consent has been given twice. His last expression is just...let's say him taking a breath ^^

Hi I love to see them having a fun moment together!! No drama, just being normal teens in love. Charlie's dimples are out so much more!! One note about the drawing - what I believe is the staircase railing corner lines up perfectly with the background characters crotch and it threw off my perspective of what those lines were.. A very slight adjustment to make them distinct from each other would make it read more like stairs and a railing. (I think!) Love this page though!!! I agree with everyone on how well you convey feeling and emotion in your drawings. Amazing! 💕

What is it about, "Have I told you..." and "Yes, but it's nice to hear it again" that feels so Nick and Charlie coded? These words as they go up the steps (as scrunched up and close as they can, lol) feel so sweet, in a mutual "I really could spend all my time with you and never grow tired of it" so in love kind of way. And I love their giggles in the hall, with their devilish "rule-breaking" grins and all...and so appreciate that we get these little reminders of their emotional intimacy before they close (and lock? psst, boys, lock the door before....👀) the door and are finally alone again for Charlie Spring to swoop in for his cowboy kiss ASAP! And as caught up as lovers can get in the heat of the moment, I LOVE how Alice has Nick and Charlie, once again, pause, and verify consent.
