I feel like I’m the only one who thinks Nick looks sad that Charlie isn’t celebrating on the pitch with the team. 🥺 I feel like he really needs to tell Charlie how he’s been feeling. He seems torn. Excited for Charlie for sure, but realizing all the changes and the different ways Charlie’s life is changing in a good way, but it has been a lot for Nick and mostly in ways that he doesn’t have the same amount of time with him or undivided attention. As someone whose partner is very passionate about their work, sometimes it’s tough to realize they can’t spend all the time with me doing the things we do when they don’t have another project they are currently doing. I don’t know, I’m not trying to project myself on Nick, but that’s the vibes I am feeling. Change, even when good, can still feel stressful.

A big win for our rugby king! I love this parallel to way back when Charlie was first on the team as a reserve and Nick actively looked to wave to him (literally like any chance he got, lol)...we are getting to revisit a few of these familiar but different moments this volume and I love it! To me, it looks like Nick is almost surprised to see Charlie in that second panel...happily surprised, but kind of like he was so focused on and enjoying the game with the team that he "forgot" Charlie was going to be there (and I think that would be a GOOD thing for him right now!), but when he sees him, oh my god, I bet our rugby captain ran across the pitch faster than he does in any drills to scoop up Charlie and celebrate with him. And the details you give us in that last pic, Alice, damn...I feel like every page recently could and should be a poster! I love how there are little factions of team/friends in the background, yet no one is "staring" at two boys hugging and clearly in love. I know WE know Truham students know and accept/support Nick and Charlie, but for every reader who picks up this comic and sees this embrace uneventfully happening, more hope is brought in this world. Thank you for that❤️‍🩹 Plus, we get Charlie Spring in a scarf (Nick is all 😍), and you even took time to put abrasions on Nick 's leg. Beautifully done...Nick and Charlie, entering into their the same, but different era...

Is it the first time we see Charlie watching rugby from the sidelines in the comics? I think it’s a lovely development in terms of the boys doing their own thing and still supporting each other. Also the fact that Charlie used to be in the team is helpful - he understands and speaks the same language! 😊

I'm honestly so happy that Nick is dirty. My only complaint about season 2 was that AFTER rugby practice they were all perfectly clean, not sweaty, no stains, great hair. And I don't even like sports! So this pleases me.

I guess there'll have had to have been a few new and younger members since it's a new school year and last year's upper sixthers will have left. And they'll have joined with a fully-out same sex couple on the team. That' a whole other world to when Charlie first joined!

I thought so too yeah! there have most definitely been team members from the year above nick (Michael's year) that would have graduated by now, so new members are needed and nearly all toxic masculinity has gone now, that's amazing
