Almost everyone is here to support them, but oh boy.. I have a feeling Nick might end up spilling out a lot very soon, like it almost reminds me from season 3 episode 6 how Charlie felt like he could work up the courage to tell Nick he wants to take things further but then in the next episode he was able to build that confidence to say it out loud, like Nick, this is one of those moments that it's okay to be vulnerable and let Charlie in, and alcohol doesn't always have to be the situation to speaking the truth but I understand that it's probably a lot for him to talk about

One thing I noticed in heartstopper in particular the tv series is that there were many scenes that dealt with topics about alcohol and people who were sick after it, and honestly I hope there won’t be another here too because I don't like seeing scenes or drawings of things like this (especially of people getting sick) but I also understand that sometimes it can be indispensable for the plot. This is just my opinion, I don't want it to affect your work Alice!❤️. Anyway, thanks Alice for your work!

I don't think Nick has an alcohol problem, but I do think that alcohol is going to be a problem in this instance. It seems like standard teen boy behavior. (but legal, unlike in the US, LOL.) but he already isn't doing well and this won't help matters. In the last few years, I have decided not to drink when I'm upset or anxious, because being that's not a fun night. Also, though, like others have said, I think this could be a good thing for Nick, just as long as the mess is confined to Charlie or Charlie and their good friends. And I am not sure if a random cute guy making eyes at Charlie will set him off, or whatever is happening with Tao and Elle, but it's coming. I feel this ten minute "break" will be a lot, lol. Also, this page had a little of Season 3, Episode 4 feel to it, a bit chaotic or something. Finally, love to see the good rugby lads there, supporting Nick and Charlie.

I think there will be enough people who care about Nick to make sure he gets home safely, even if Charlie is somehow upset and leaves. (And I wouldn't be surprised if Charlie when leaving, if he does that, makes sure Nick has a way to get home.)

Ah to be 18 again! It's not an issue to want to party and drink and do shots. It's new, exciting, fun and LEGAL!! Great to see the gang have so much fun but also sad to know there are issues lurking behind all that fun. Tao and Elle, Tara and Darcy, Nick and Charlie. Hope these couples get through the tough times and TALK. Communication is key to relationships but being this young our first instinct is to close off and pretend nothing is wrong and have fun!!

Knowing her, she'll have slipped him £20 to spend on drinks for him and his friends and told him to give her a call when he wants picking up. Tequila can be quite popular, also Jagermeister. There are often weird sugary flavoured shots that come in and out of fashion from time to time, but since it's a group of Rugby Lads, it's probably something quite strong.

It's fairly easy to obtain alcohol under age too as most of them are doing here! Although I think way less than when I was a teenager in the latte '90s when many publicans had a very laissez-faire attitude, now there's national guidelines that can punish establishments that do this. Personally I'm not sure the changes are for the better. If kids are gonna drink at 16 or so, better they do it in the relatively controlled and somewhat safer environment of a pub than end up somewhere else and often with something much stronger than beer. Other European countries like Germany have laws that allow 16 year olds to purchase lower strength beverages, which seems a better approach..

Yes! Also I think it's such a nice touch how Charlie seems to hug Nick with his arms under Nick's striped shirt. (I guess he's doing that by the way Nick's shirt looks.) So the outfit choice is also very important for little details like that.

Oh dear, what could go wrong?! 😆 Love everything about this page, the squiggly lines of the panels as Nick gets drunk, the (alcohol inspired?) bubbles leading from panel to panel, the rugby lads supporting Charlie’s band, the passionate kiss, and Nick’s devious face in the last panel. I can’t wait to see where this leads.

Such a big night this is turning out to be! I love seeing the rugby lads there to also support Queer Intentions and Charlie...it's another sign of how popular and revered our Head Boy is these days. And ofc they do shots because why the hell not? You are young, you are in a pub...the shots are horrible going down but then give that warm, fuzzy feeling that makes you high 5 your friends in a shared "bad asses" moment...Even Sahar is ready for a drink after all her singing! And sweet Nick is reminding us that size has nothing to do with alcohol tolerance...his mouth on his "good lad" second shot is already looking a little lax, and we start to sense with the really creative, loose, meandering panel outlines those beer carbonated bubbles popping up along the edges that his brain is under some influence (which isn't necessarily a bad thing...he's 18, he's with friends and his partner...). But, tipsy Nick tends to only focus on one thing, and that very cute, hot thing just went on break for 10 whole minutes! The last time they mentioned "only having 10 minutes" was back at the start of the first school day this year and that was plenty of time for...sparkles. Right now, Nick is feeling ALL the fun parts of being tipsy, and I love how he is trying to be devious and sneak alcohol, I mean lemonade, to Charlie. It's so cute...he wants Charlie to feel as relaxed and happy and horny and warm just like he does...again, he just wants to freeze time and really savor this joy, festive time (and nothing like alcohol to make time seem to stop)...but we know tipsy Nick can get wistful and nostalgic really quickly, and when raw feelings start to leak out, anything can happen...KISS YOUR BOY, Nick. I'm freezing this moment for you, for just a day! (and someone remind Nick of that old adage Beer before Liquor, never sicker; liquor before beer, all is clear (ish, lol!).

There's no reason why we can't approach the new owners about using the house to film, please don't worry! And if they refuse then there are other options (e.g. recreating the rooms as sets or moving scenes to other locations). It won't cause a big problem, whatever happens, please don't worry.

Well, its not surprising everyone is having a drink at the pub, but shots and pints don't mix well in my experience. I hope Nick isn't meant to be driving back afterwards. And while not the best way to open up, it might cause Nick to loosen his tongue a bit. Though given how Nick is looking at Charlie in that last panel, someone better make sure they don't sneak off like they did at Halloween. Other party sneak offs like Harry's or Tara's birthdays are acceptable.
