touching moment of friendship between Charlie, Tara and Darcy. And Nick is just swaying in the background. I'm surprised he didn't fall to the right and into his garden, but glad he has enough balance to lean on his car. It's good to see them feeling like while things may feel bad now, things will be better for them, and soon hopefully. I mean for Darcy, even though they've been kicked out, they now are free from a negative environment at least. Which hopefully will be a big plus in their life. I don't think Nick is going to be much good in the rugby game in the morning, if he gets there. And I'm looking forward to hearing you talk about 10 years since Nick and Charlie released tomorrow Alice.

I see a lot of people saying water but from experience I can tell you, water after drinking that much will make you vomit 🤮 Water before you go drinking is what you do. Afterwards if you don’t vomit, then definitely greasy food will soak up the alcohol. White Castle is a go to here in the US 🍔 This page was very funny watching Nick try to walk, but Charlie he truly may fall so get moving. Poor Nick, he must have never heard the phrase “you can’t drown your sorrows because your sorrows know how to swim”. I get it Nick but it’s time tomorrow after some medicine, food and water to talk.

Tara and Darcy share a super sweet moment of calm and connection. Charlie links into that showing care for his friends. One Nicholas Nelson is near the finish line. Looks like we are at Nick's house. I hope he barfs all traces of Green Dragon out of himself. I'm guessing David will be called upon to help get Nick to bed. This may lead to a bonding moment between David and Charlie. I will throw another prediction out there - Nick will again not open up to Charlie causing Charlie to somehow ask for a break until Nick is ready to talk for his own mental health protection. It will be David who is the catalyst to have Nick talk to Charlie after accepting how good Charlie is for Nick and encouraging their relationship. During the mini break (which will be over by Christmas), Sarah will step in to initiate therapy for Nick. Hoping these few days before Christmas do not take a month!

Tara and Darcy are so lovely that it just warms my heart right up! They are a good model for communication and resilience. Charlie seems like he draws strength from them, which he will need as he deals with Nick, gets him to the bathroom and to bed, and they decide what to do going forward. Nick will be tempted to sweep this under the rug, but Charlie is going to have to do something to either get Nick talking or get him into therapy. And Charlie needs to enlist an ally or two in the struggle to do so, and to get Nick upstairs. Maybe Sarah or David is awake?

The best kind of friends are the ones who show up to ride the highs and lows of life with you, and that is what we are seeing mirrored back and forth in the mutually caring and quietly understanding dialogue portrayed on this page. I love how Charlie's earnest show of gratitude in that first panel is so genuine, so nice, so CHARLIE (and it's so good to see after the stress he has been through in the last couple of hours)...he just closed the door behind Darcy in such a sweet gesture to send them off on their way and leaned in to say thanks (meaning " You know I couldn't have done this without you, and I am so, so grateful for you both"). I welcome the immediate sense of calm energy coming from Tara and Darcy with their matching, softening eyebrows and caring smiles as they look up at Charlie's reassuring "We'll be fine." Of course, he says that as we see sweet Nick's little shuffling gait in the background with his arms NOT moving in tandem with his walk, poor love is still under the influence...(I am sure Nick is thinking "must get inside, I love Charlie, I don't feel good, Darcy and Tara are the best, I need a key, do I have a key, I want to sleep, i'm not feeling well..."). Charlie's empathetic heart goes right back to Darcy, "Will YOU be okay?" It's another SO Charlie moment, checking in on everyone, and the silent conversation that is briefly shared between Tara and Darcy feels like a balm of warmth and sunshine after this totally shit night! You can see the HOPE on both of their faces as they again look up to Charlie with a promising "Yeah. We'll be okay." That last panel makes me ache a little though, as Charlie lingers over watching Tara and Darcy drive away. He has to be thinking through his conversations with Darcy at work, about the conversation with Tara tonight, and about what Darcy revealed about their home life...and how even though it hasn't been fully discussed, Tara knew enough to be able to best support Darcy. Such a good feeling, right Charlie?? He's hanging on to it, and I can't help but wonder if he is comparing all the subtle signs (and some not so subtle tonight!) that Nick has been giving off that SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT...and wishing he could really get Nick to open up to him...and he keeps staring and staring, almost like he is hoping if he keeps looking, the "what should he do next to get into Nick's hidden but hurting places" is going to come to him. This makes it feel like Charle knows something needs to be said , but that he doesn’t realize the depth of Nick’s mental health struggles quite yet (remember how Nick is really good at convincing everyone including himself that the is fine!) Even here, Charlie kind of forgets that his sweet love is staggering behind him and needs some help, too…That steadying hand placement on the car while the other is holding his stomach is a classic warning sign for impending sickness...turn around, Charlie...your boy needs you, and there is always tomorrow to talk, right? Right??!!
