This month we want to take on one of the master of the twist endings M. Night Shyamalan. We've already done The Happening, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and his lesser known "religious cinema" debut film Wide Awake, but there's still so much bad to bathe in so hit us with your best shots.

I was tricked into watching that movie and was so pissed off at my friend. I waited the entire movie for it to get good only to be severely disappointed. I'll never get those hours back

I would say Devil, but that's for the main feed. So I'm going After Earth. Legitimately maybe his worst movie, and obviously one he didn't give a shit about. Will Smith just wanted to make a movie with one of his kids and M. Night wanted a paycheck. It's a *trainwreck* of a sci-fi adventure.

The Visit and Devil are hilariously bad, but you did The Happening for that affect...hmm...I'd also suggest OLD because that was the worst piece of crap I've seen in ages, but sending you to the theater seems cruel...My final vote is The Village. It's been a while since I've seen it but the twist was so bad it's burned in my brain...

Lady in the Water just for how self-serving it is. His "metaphors" are so blatant and when you say them out loud, it really paints M. to be a big crybaby. "You critics just don't get my brilliance! My stories will be the thing that saves the world!". He has a gruesome death for a character he literally labels as "Critic". It's so petty and feel likes something a faux goth 15 year old would scribble in their math book.

Just go to the movies and see Old. Rotten Tomatoes says it's not terrible, but it's still Mnight. You know for sure it is going to be absolutely convoluted with some insufferably dumb twist ending. At least with this choice, you get to go to the movies, eat popcorn, and watch some previews.

what about after earth? i have not seen it, i gave up on any of his movies after signs but heard it's real bad and has 2 smiths.

The village. It is clearly an allegory of his control religious groups and in my case coming from JDubs that movie is my experience. The elders are hiding things from everyone else. They have made the outside world to be scary but they are the ones in the costumes. They try to separate the members from the outside world but as soon as they need help, medical help in the movie, they have no problem crawling back to the scientific doctors who they have decried to get medicine to live even though through death they get to go to their version of paradise.

Lady in the Water is a no-brainer, but I'd also put in a shout for Old. It's got all the usual M. Night anti-science attitudes and his unflinching ability to get bad acting out of good actors, but it also veers into new, deeply problematic territory that would be fun (?) for the boys to explore. Plus, one of the characters is named Mid-Sized Sedan.

Second for The Village. I was so interested right up to about a half-way point, when I realized what the reveal would be, and ended up thinking through the logistics of it all and how they were treating everyone. Severely pissed me off.
