This week, Thomas joins us to discuss the greatest story in the history of American football, and a movie that's about the preface to that story.

Ok, listening in 2026: this is like listening to my husband and son talking football and as if they'd watched this movie. Just a regular football season day. And then add Kevin Dyson, whom I know as the principal of my son's high school (he retired last year). I didn't know he played football until last year (of course my husband and son did). Two worlds collide.

I think I can finish your metaphor. Christian cinema is the Trump run United States Football League of cinema. BTW that could make a good Citation Needed episode

I don't follow football (though I am a baseball & racing fan), but I absolutely enjoyed listening to you guys talk about football. Can't wait for next (3) week's episode.

Sorry, as your intro preludes, I don't give two shits about American hand egg. And couldn't even get past the preamble.

My wife and son went to see this because they thought it was a football movie. She wanted to point out that in the scene by the lake they're sitting on the hood of a truck while a blind kid is messing with the steering wheel and shifter. She was sure the movie was going to end with the kid putting it in gear and all of them drowning. 😆

“Greatest story in sports” I chuckled when Heath said that! Wait until you hear about proper sports (you know where ‘World Champions’ has genuine meaning) they will blow your mind!

Nice Foamy the Squirrel cameo at the end there. =3

I fucking love all the football talk. I love biopics and football, and would have watched this movie if it had included any actual football. Thanks for saving me a couple hours!
