Thats right we want your most horrifying horror. Your most gastly glimses of limelight gas....bad...scary movies. You suggest em. We undemocratiacally pick one

Comments

Xaghi, Princess of Power

The remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Not just bad, but gross and unpleasant to look at.

Cleric of vecna

Ghost ship. It is my favorite and everyone hates it but it has the best opening practical effect ever.

Khristle

Fertilize the Blaspheming Bombshells

Steve Dicus

*Glimpses* Hellraiser. The original.

Sean Geist

Gotta be one of the Leprechaun movies

Ted Meadows

Blair witch 2 book of shadows or house of wax

Amy Kennedy

I just had to transcribe part of a terrible piece of "found footage" film called "Shredding". I couldn't find it with a Google search but it exists out there somewhere...

Laura Lusby

I vote either “Killer Clowns From Outer Space” or “Plan 9 From Outer Space”

Bobby Tropicana

I wish people would stop suggesting these films, the director is a convicted pedophile.

Venkman's Assistant

Vampire's Kiss, maybe? Any of the live action Death Note movies could work, too. Both the Japanese and American versions are equally bad, but the Japanese version is in three parts.

JC Sander

Saturday the 14th. A campy monster team up movie.

Meghan Baldwin

2nd choice: CHUD (inspired by Erin Frost)

Samuel Machi

13 Seconds Most ridiculous fever dream of a movie I have ever seen. The hammy acting is only outshined by the absurd choices the filmmakers went with throughout it.

The Younglings Had It Coming

There IS one more Dudly Dumpling movie... But since that's destined for the main feed I'd say THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK. Not a bad movie, but a very *strange* movie that helped kick off the modern Bigfoot phenomenon.

David

Genuinely did not know that thanks for letting me know. I'll delete the suggestion in five minutes to make sure you saw my apology.

Alex Hencken

It’s not exactly bad, in fact it’s a favorite… The Evil Dead!

Matty B

Event Horizon (someone please tell me if they did this one or if they also smell toast). This one actually got me but looking back it is silly.

Brian

1999's Virus or 1995's Proteus.

Alex Hencken

Orca would make for good secular episode.

Patrick Haughton

1988's High Spirits with the classic pairing of Steve Gutenberg and Peter O'Toole. Deep cast, terrible movie.

tsukiouji

I wish I could remember the name, but there was a sci fi original movie about gargoyles taking over the world lol. Tbf any sci Fi original works for Halloween bonus, as you guys well know

Adam Pope

Ernest Scared Stupid!

tsukiouji

Hi there fellow Michigander

Alex Hencken

Oohhh… Halloween H2O or the original The Mist (John Carpenter)

Adam Pope

this is a phenomenal movie! my favorite heist film

Bossasaur

Halloween III - Season of the Witch

חנן

The Mangler Robert Englund, Ted Levine; it’s about a haunted laundry machine. “A series of gruesome accidents leads an officer to believe that a laundry machine is possessed by a bloodthirsty demon.”

David

Oh god those eyes though...I still feel them on me.

Alex Hencken

American Werewolf in London. Okay I got too many horror ideas, I’ll step away for a bit. One more first : The Addiction! A vampire indi film with Christopher Walken.

David

Any of the Jason movies

TBoneSF

The most terrifying five words in history: Hubie Halloween Starring Adam Sandler

TBoneSF

I think you mean The Fog. The Mist is a Stephen King adaptation with the most brutal ending in film history.

Dexter

Seconded!

חנן

Ghost in the Machine This one could possibly make main feed, as a serial killer’s soul is sucked into a 1993 version of the internet “After Terry (Karen Allen) tells a computer store clerk where she lives, the information falls into the hands of the clerk's co-worker Karl (Ted Marcoux), the serial murderer known as the "Address Book Killer." When Karl is injured in a car crash, his doctors place him in an MRI machine. As Karl dies, the computer powering the machine extracts his soul. The murderous computer system then locates Terry and tries to kill her by turning technological devices into deadly weapons.”

Dexter

Malignant! It has a kung fu scene

Fieryfox

From Within (lots of religious shit in it too) Urban Legend (has Jared Leto in it) Always Watching: A Marble Hornet's Story (sort of a Slenderman thing) Haunting on Fraternity Row Reed's Point (It's about the Jersey Devil. Full of giant plot holes, terrible acting, and dumb characters that go into the woods with nothing. Not even water.)

Steve

6 Souls (although this could most definitely be an entry on the main feed.)

Unofficial_Opinion

I’d love to hear your thoughts on Rubber. Or Thankskilling. Or maybe Vampires: Los Muertos with motherfuckin Jon Bon Jovi

Bird Lawyer, Esquire

The Row. Lots of sorority girls in very little clothing and a plot that's completely incomprehensible.

Samuel D Brown

Please do Anaconda. You guys have already done Lake Placid and Deep Blue Sea. Anaconda is the perfect round out of that era of bad creature features. Also, Jon Voight doing a terrible Spanish accent

Gavin Ferris

Cemetery Man. Dubbed version of an Italian zombie movie. It’s so profoundly weird and tries so hard to be extra weird that the result is a truly bad movie.

Larry

The Cleansing Hour. Fake exorcism show gets a real possessed person for their final episode.

TenaciousB

This movie terrified 19 year old me. In fact I still have a very specific nightmare about one scene. I've never watched this one back because of it. *Shudder*

Trepanda

Larry Cohen movies, I would say, qualify as bad/good: Q: The Winged Serpent Uncle Sam Maniac Cop The Stuff It's Alive

Adam Pope

I believe thankskilling was Nov 2020?

Apocalypse Cowboy

- The Devil Inside (2012), though it's mostly infamous for the shitty ending - Seizure (1974), the first feature from Oliver fucking Stone of all people, and full of batshit nonsense throughout (also Hervé Villechaize) - Dracula 3D (2012), a farcry from the once-great Dario Argento - Faust: Love of the Damned (2000), imagine 'Spawn' on bathsalts

Alex Hencken

You are correct! My mistake.

Alex Hencken

The Fog (not The Mist) from John Carpenter! My mistake above.

Geoffrey T. Blackwell

You've already done Manos. It doesn't get any more good-bad than that. Setting that aside, though, I suggest The Cloverfield Paradox.

Travis Collins

Not of This Earth (1988). First thing to know: this is a remake of a Roger Corman flick from 1957. And if you know cheesy bad movies, you just read the name “Roger Corman” and your Spidey-senses tingled. Second thing to know: this was adult film actress Traci Lords first mainstream movie. This was the movie she took to break into mainstream Hollywood. Third thing to know: this movie is just horrifically bad from start to finish. Everything. The writing. The acting. The direction. The lighting. The sound design. The special effects. Everything. If there is a thing to get wrong in making a movie, they do it. They manage to make stripper-grams a strange, awkward, and wholly unpleasant experience. Everything fails.

Don Toovey

The cell with Jennifer Lopez (I think)

Don Toovey

Black sheep a kiwi zombie sheepocalypse movie. It has zombie sheep genetic engineering and some very dodgy jokes

Don Toovey

Bubba hotep you I’ve suggested this before but it’s right in the wheelhouse

Don Toovey

Zombieland woody Harleson bill Murray say no more

Don Toovey

The very very very awful all girl ghostbusters remake

Clockworkk

“Ao Oni (Ver. 2.0).” As if it needed another version, this horror movie—trying its hardest to pretend it’s an anime—follows the story of a bunch of strangely-clothed idiots getting trapped in a building with a badly computer-generated blue “demon.” And the result is the greatest film in the known universe as the characters have a series of interminably boring conversations. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt4309612/

Gidgit

Silent House Absolutely amazing twist ending!!

Joshua Little

Yep, the movie that started with pilgrim tits.

Esme

Pet Sematary II Carrie 2 Showgirls (the acting is terrifying)

Esme

Tremors 5: Bloodlines

Joshua Little

Repo: The Genetic Opera - Paris Hilton having incest sex with her brothers with tons of blood and Giles from Buffy gutting people. Oh, and it's a goth opera. Granted, these are all pluses in my book but I can't deny it's super melodramatic and gory and depressing at the end just like an opera should be. Also Incident in Lake County. Super low budget alien found footage movie where they tricked some "ufologists" into commenting on the obviously fake movie. The kids in the alien costumes are adorable.

William Yeske

Basket Case (1982) Made on almost a literal shoestring budget. "A young man carrying a big basket that contains his extremely deformed, formerly conjoined twin brother seeks vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will." https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0083624/

Andrew H

If any of the guys are familiar with the source material, the Netflix adaptation of Death Note.

Zone Left

John Carpenter’s Vampires is a kinda perfect not good movie that aged really badly. Hellraiser: Bloodlines aka Hellraiser in SPACE for reasons that never really make sense. It’s just awful

Lincoln Eddy

I mean, y'all did one Uwe Boll but Alone in the Dark is also shit. Darkness Falls, that tooth fairy movie was pretty terrible. Death Bed and The Mangler are both terrible movies about furniture murdering people. Baby Oopsie, or just...anything from Full Moon. And House (not the awesome Japanese one, though that might be fun too). I could keep going.

Thomas St. Clair

"God Told Me To" from 1976. It's so on brand for you guys and I promise you will NEVER see the ending coming.

Nate

“The Lawnmower Man!!!” Jeff Fahey, Dean Norris… and mother fucking James Bond Pierce Brosnan Shitty pre-Jurassic Park CGI Also, it’s “Inspired” by a Steven King story

Nate

“Deep Rising!!!” Famke Janssen! Djimon Hounsou! Cliff Curtis! Treat Williams! Annnnnnnd mother fucking Dr Chilton from Silence of The Lambs!!!!! Shitty post-Jurassic park CGI! Directed by Stephen “The Mummy” Sommers

Hangman13182

Gotta put up The Toxic Avenger the story of a short inept gear getting doused in toxic waste and becoming a monster set on cleaning up the streets. Bad acting, bad makeup and prosthetic costumes bad bad guys. Perfect for you guys and free on Tubi!

Star Araco

SHAKMA!!!! just watch the trailer I know you’ll love it but to sweeten the pot there’s an adorable killer baboon, it’s free on youtube, literally the definition of good bad, I think you’ll love it! SHAKMAAAAAAAA (this will be funny after u watch the trailer)

Adam Parkin

Jason X is too self aware. I'd say 5 for how clearly lazily it's made or Jason Goes To Hell

HidariMak

Roboshark. A great white shark bites a UFO, so of course it becomes robotic. At one point the shark is in an indoor swimming pool, so the military jumps into the pool to shoot at it. The robot shark also follows the hero's daughter, on Twitter. Yes, the whole movie screams stupid.

You can just think of me as That One Guy

Uninvited (1988). The best damn "killer-mutant-cat hiding inside a puppet-cat on a yacht with financial crooks and horny teenagers" movie you will ever see. And yes, very possibly the only movie of that type that will ever be made.

Angela Earle

Truth or Dare. There’s a scene in a loony bin where main character dares other crazy people to cut off their own extremities. Deeply bothered me in 1988-ish, hilarious when viewed later….. ends with a little sad folk love song …..

Wes Brandt

Indeed Uninvited (1988) a Greydon Clark pile about a killer mutant cat puppet that mysteriously has George Kennedy and Clu Gulager in it.

Mark Smith

Night of the Lepus. It's got Rabbits.

Wes Brandt

I would suggest The Cloverfield Paradox, because it's such a valient failure of a horror sci-fi movie, but no one should have to experience the mental anguish required to dissect this piece of shit.

Tasman Salter

1922. Character motivations all over the show.

lenbogan

Phantasm (1979). It's genuinely enjoyable bad, with a sequence guest-directed by Sam Raimi. And there are sequels! Most of the actors were only ever in these films.

Michelle C

Yeah and it's dope as hell. It's not god awful, it's awesome!!

Antonio A Barroso

Tilbury. It’s an Icelandic, made for TV movie that includes leg nipples and vomiting butter. It’s on Shudder.

Danial Gibson

The Wraith. Charlie Sheen vs a gang of street racers. Randy Quaid is the sheriff.

Leslie Marchant

"Fear No Evil" (1980, available on youtube). The antichrist, zombies, and a dude who smokes pot then grows breasts.

AgnesBell

Sleepaway Camp! It’s an annual Halloween tradition in my family - it’s terribleness is almost beautiful. Campy (pun intended), incomprehensible pacing, and the characters… IYKYK.

James Russell

That's a profoundly fucked movie. The GAM crew could have fun with that as part of the main feed.

James Russell

Death Bed: The Bed That Eats. Mostly shot in 1972, finished in 1977, and only officially released in 2004 (after years of being bootlegged). It's about a demonically possessed bed and a painting haunted by the ghost of the artist Aubrey Beardsley who must observe the bed devouring its victims. It is *vastly* stranger than even that sounds. It's on Youtube and you must all see it.

Phoenix Hauser

Content note: ablism, kim basinger being ablist for money...

Phoenix Hauser

Content note: sexual violence, 70s hair

Vincent Jorgensen

Poor souls. I feel for them. I'll check the bonus feed for it. Thanks!

Alex Hencken

It’s a bit self aware however.

Alex Hencken

The original Night of the Living Dead. So good, so basic, so many tropes going on, so much to play with.

Alex Hencken

Think about it! You got Bruce Campbell, with Sam Rami directing and Rob Tapert producing. Without this film we don’t get Hercules and K Sorb.

April Poff

I'd like to add my endorsement of Willy's Wonderland. I can't vouch for it's "badness," as my judgement in that area never seems to match anyone else's. However, I find it way funnier than scary, even though it looks like it's supposed to be scary. Supporting Reasons: Nic Cage -- both star and producer Few pop scares, and they're mostly predictable. It was shot in 20 days. Big unresolved question: How do you kill a possessed robot anyway? Motor oil blood.

Don Toovey

Possibly but it still fits the bill and it’s bloody funny

Mark H

The Langoliers

Mark H

I keep recommending that weird fucking film, too!

Katie Reece

Ouija Warehouse is one of the worst I've seen. Star the drag queen steals the whole film.

Phoenix Hauser

Toxie is DELIBERATELY bad. Google Troma

Phoenix Hauser

They've got so much worse. When your remake of romeo and juliet features a trans murderer who cuts off and pickles Ron Jeremy's dick...you look back fondly on your old films like toxic avenger. Someone else suggested night of the chicken dead which is another troma film

D. Bench

Doom: Annihilation. Bigger budget, but it is just awful. Plus it has a cancer mom, and a priest on the mars colony. Because all scientific research facilities need a priest, right?

Phoenix Hauser

Lol. It's not as weird as Martin(one of my other suggestions...a George Romero vampire film)...but it's up there. B level, Stupid, crazy and/or unsettling horror is the genre I know most of. I have some TRULY bad possibilities but they're like....mega problematic and despite how much I rag on him I don't want eli's head to collapse into a black hole and destroy the universe

Nolan B.

Terrible effects (minus some of the practical stuff) but an awesome idea and story. Read The Hellbound Heart and you’ll have an appreciation for it.

Nolan B.

I’m an apologist for this one! Ballsy and out there for sure, but that’s part of the charm.

Nolan B.

Something mainstream bad: Anaconda (shit cgi that’s unintentionally funny, with an always racist Jon Voight) Freddy vs. Jason (pure and mindless entertainment with boobs) An American Werewolf in Paris (pure garbage but also entertaining 90’s cgi)

Phoenix Hauser

It's a short film. Maybe a spooktacular mini but it really just belongs on this list to be on this list

Amanda

omd, someone just reminded me of this: a New Zealand film called Black Sheep. It's friggin bonkers.

Joshua Little

If we can do it with thankgiving, why not halloween

Flantastic02

You gotta do Zombeavers. It's not as cheap and shitty as you might think from the title. Watched it for halloween one year with friends and we were not disappointed.

Mark H

I mean, either works for me, but in retrospect I suppose it’s a little racist to tie ALL tribes to Thanksgiving.

Revan

Errementari. I have suggested it before. A Basque tale that includes demons and a trip to hell.

Mark H

Oh wait! The Human Centipede! I wouldn’t wish that shit on anyone, but you asked!

Mark H

I don’t know, I just suggested Human Centipede, and that’s pretty bad.

Mark H

The Super Mario Bros. movie looks pretty horrific, but that will have to wait until next year…

Phoenix Hauser

Two words. Cannibal Holocaust. You can Google it if you want to but...eeeehhh

Phoenix Hauser

Actually the backstory to cannibal holocaust might make a good citation needed ep. But i really am not putting it forth as a suggestion. Its genuinely the worst movie ever. In multitudes of ways. My opinion of course

Steve Dicus

I unironically love Anaconda!

Sarah A

Black Moon (1975), an experimental horror film, is way up there on the list of worst movies I've ever seen. But not in a so-bad-it's-good way, more in a what-the-actual-fuck kind of way.

Hangman13182

Pretty sure they already did that one as a bonus episode.

Mark H

No, I mean the NEW Super Mario Bros movie, with Chris Pratt for some bizarre reason.

Uriah Jackson

I'm just curious if not speaking was his choice or if they negotiated to pay him less for a non-speaking role despite him being the main character.

Uriah Jackson

From the shot on a camcorder era, "The Seekers". One of several terrible low-budget 'get your buddies together and make a horror movie' movies from John Bowker.

Claus Hinze

Jug face, it's about a small village that worships ghost things that look like children and they have a ritual dude who makes a mug that looks like one of their faces that gotta be the next one to bed sacrifice, and it so happens to be a girl who's pregnant with her brothers baby!

Phoenix Hauser

I couldn't find this post yesterday so i replied to your suggestion

Julie Wine&Reason

We just watched Ghost in the Graveyard on Amazon Prime. It's a terrible movie about a baby that never means anything and whose existence is never explained, a ghost girl who is never scary, and a family's mission to fight the Satanic Cult in their town. Best/worst use of a Busey, specifically Jake Busey. I can only imagine the editor, director, and cinematographer were in a fight by the end of shooting, and the key grip had to put the movie together.

Emma Coonfield

Tartarus (2005). It's not really Halloween-y, but it's a cinematic masterpiece. It has aliens and butt stuff, however not in that order

Emma Coonfield

Cannibal the musical is also a beautiful horror musical comedy.

Phoenix Hauser

I kinda need to state clearly that I kicked a roommate out for cocaining in close proximity to a child and he left a bunch of TERRIBLE films. Some of which it took only a glance for me to actually decide to burn the thing. I never paid to lay my eyeballs on cannibal holocaust. Curiosity kills the cats soul.

Hangman13182

I’ll have to check it out. Didn’t realize Hollywood was so desperate for movie ideas they remade that horror show of a film.

Hangman13182

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. Remember watching it when it aired! It was a made for tv mini series though not a movie if I recall correctly.

Hangman13182

Yep mini series not a movie. Not a deal breaker though and it was pretty bad.

Hangman13182

Tried looking for this one and all it kept pulling up was the Chris Farley film. If you could tell me where to watch I would love to see genetically altered evil sheep attack people!

Hangman13182

Dang it doesn’t come out till April of next year according to IMDB.

Mark H

Only two episodes, though

Hangman13182

Meh all the Ernest Goes to … movies are self aware as to how horrible they are as far as I can tell.

Hangman13182

If your talking the underground mutant people movie then I second this.

Hangman13182

That and this movie is just bad-bad not bad-good. Don’t want to torture them too much think of Heaths mental health!

Thais

I agree with Repo, though I still have a bit of a soft spot for it from college (also was weirdly attracted to the Graverobber character in the Zydrate scene specifically)

Thais

Sleepwalkers or Stay Alive

vincent sultenfuss

I love this movie. One of Treat Williams best movies!

Ky

I was going to suggest my parents sex tape but it'd be unfair if I was the only one horrified.
