Atlantropa the Floating City 

The Floating City of Atlantropa. Total Size: ~5.2 million km² Population: Approximately 0.4 Billion

Found in the North Atlantic Ocean, in between the Old and New Continents of the world. Home to approximately Half a billion people, shared between the city above and the Gulch below, it was at a time considered a myth by the people of Europa, written about as the legendary city of Atlantis. A civilization that was millennia ahead of the kingdoms and empires of the old continent, this was not far from the truth. As Atlantropa had been created before the Great calamity of the Vulnerate that flooded the world with immaterial blood, as such technology continued to progress. 

It would play a larger role around the 17th century, as it would initiate small scale trade across the world, the height of Atlantropean power would last until the brutal series of conflicts in the 1800's, known as the Penumbra Wars. It would fall behind its nearest peer rival on the world stage the United States of the Americas.

With the turn of the century, the Atlantropean Floating City has just come out of the prior century on strong footing, but with the Americans stepping into the world stage, they present the first true potential rival to the hegemony of the Floating City. 

Atlantropean Dime 12

The 12th Ring, the final ringed section of Atlantropa also known as the Farside, beyond its walls is the vast slums and lawless towns of the Outskirts. Considered the lowest in terms of living standards in Atlantropa, it is also the most populated of the 12 Rings, beaten only by the Outer Ring and the Gulch Below the Floating City. The infrastructure is in various states of neglect and disrepair, with District and Sector funds often being embezzled by the Mayors and elected officials of their respective areas. 

In terms of public services, it is lacking far behind even the 11th Ring, with often only one Police department, Hospital, or schools per Sector rather than Area or District. In terms of public amenities like stores and restaurants however, it is seen as a booming market by larger chains and smaller businesses.

In terms of crimes and abnormalities, the 12th Ring is a hot bed for all types of criminal activities, from minor Cartel operations, to Syndicate backed politicians. The abnormalities are also more volatile and rampant in the 12th Ring, posing a great danger to all in the area. It comes as no surprise that it is also in response buzzing with Fixer activity too.

Atlantropean Dime 2

The 2nd Ring also known as the Bread Basket, a large anomaly in the construction of the Floating City, although not always appreciable from the further Rings and not visible to the Outer Ring, near the heart of Atlantropa the second ring holds a landscape of snowy mountain tops, temperate forests, and at the base of them and running to till the edges of the great walls, vast farmlands. The second ring is dotted with small farming communities that stanchly adhere to a rustic aesthetic, reminiscent of late medieval Europa or the American Great Plains. Everyone there is employed by the Evergreen Company, who pays them and takes care of them. It is often considered to be one of the best jobs to have within Atlantropa despite the agricultural work. It is worth it to live far above the smog and in nature for many. The Evergreen Company does enforce a strict ban on modern non-essential electronics and machines however, with horse drawn wagons and simple phones being the height of modern personal tech. 

The 2nd Ring is exclusively controlled and maintained by the prestigious Evergreen Family and their corporation the Evergreen Company. They have held this position since the founding of the Floating City, as such they hold an extremely close relationship with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Atlantropean Government. Siding with them against their fellow corporations whenever a dispute arises. 

The 2nd Ring is also home to several resorts, and vacation homes in the mountains. It is also host to the annual Corporation Summit known as the Meeting of the Wings. In terms of security, well the Ministry does provide its assistance to the Evergreen Family, the company does have its own private security force to deal with any potential abnormalities or aberration that may manifest within the 2nd Ring. Criminal activity from major Syndicates is unheard within the 2nd Ring, although Corporate skirmishes have happened in the past.

Atlantropean Dime 4

The 4th Ring, also known as the Corporate Plaza, is the heart of the Atlantropean Corporate world, with all major Corporations Headquarters and the Atlantropean Stock Market Located in the 4th Ring. It is where business gets done in all fashions, from trade deals to entertainment productions. It is also the home to many Company Heads and important celebrities. Something is always happening in the skyscrapers and the streets of the 4th ring, the money is always flowing.

The shops there are bespoke and high quality brands whose names are never even seen by the likes of the people outside of the 5th to 3rd Rings. They have pretty much everything covered, but it will cost an arm and a leg to get. In terms of security the Corporations provided their own security forces to the Ring and its inhabitants, many of them already having premium plans with their employers. 

Atlantropean Dime 3

The 3rd Ring, also known as the Administration Ring, houses the governmental departments and several military facilities of the Floating City. One will find the Atlantropean house of Section Representatives, the Grand Atlantropean Court of Justice, the Atlantropean Senate, as well as other key administrative offices. Several military academies are also found within the 3rd Ring, as well as various Ministry and Governmental bases that represent the bulk of the Atlantropean fighting forces. There are also several civilian housing sections for governmental and military personnel, family members and relatives.
